Damian Lazarus and the Ancient Moons debut single on Crosstown Rebel’s get’s remixed by Carl Craig & Willie Burns. The original version of 'Lovers' Eyes (Mohe Pi Ki Najariya)' is the first release from Lazarus's new collaborative artist project, and is quickly becoming one of this years anticipated records. Now, hot on it’s heels comes two killer remixes to compliment the original.

On the A Side Carl Craig impeccably tweaks and twists Lazarus original version into submission. A barrage of growling synths and drums drives this version front and centre to the dance-floor, Carl works his magic in creating something truly unique with this remix. He succeeds in doing justice to original whilst taking it further and darker into the abyss. On the flip and Willie Burns (Crème Organization / L.I.E.S.) loops Fareed Ayaz, Abu Muhammad and Hamza Akram vocals to maximum hypnotic effect. A cavalcade of lopped, layered vocals build and beguile over the swelling electronic resonance of Willie’s sparse yet powerful production.

Two great remixes that are already seeing some heavy disco rotation, and are set to highlight this Summers dance-floors with some Quwwali Electronic mayhem!

Acclaimed house maverick and Hot Creations head honcho Jamie Jones has been closing his DJ sets for the last few weeks with his own remix.  Its bouncing, old school house tip bounding beneath bright gospel turns of phrase, approaching near classic status with arms aloft receptions on the dancefloor.  And finally Berlin’s Deniz Kurtel, who pulls her penchant for polyrhythmic percussion to the fore, casting sweet tribal grooves across an original surely destined to become a dancefloor anthem this summer.

A career spent DJing across the globe was the catalyst for Lazarus’s latest project – Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons.  Co-produced by James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco, the new album brings together an assortment of vocalists, collaborators and players from around the world, all taking inspiration from his Lazpod series, Get Lost events and Day Zero festival in Mexico.

"Vermillion" is the lead single off the forthcoming album by Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons, Message From the Other Side. The album is said to be inspired by a career spent DJing across the globe and the famous sunrise parties the pioneering artist is known for. Channelling those sunrise sets and the globetrotting influence of Message From the Other Side, "Vermillion" will be released with a huge remix package, seeing reworks from some of the house scene's biggest names including Agoria, Jamie Jones and Deniz Kurtel.

In his remix, Agoria focuses heavily on the vocals, propping them up with a deep, minimal inclined, backbone. The track throbs and grows in waves throughout it's six and a half minute runtime and crescendos with soaring, bass heavy, synths. "I’m doing very few remixes at the moment, but when Damian sent me “Vermillion" just before christmas I immediately fell in love with the vocals," Agoria says. "I had no other choice but to cut my holiday short to make this remix.  We exchanged a few tracks and ideas in the past but the timing never fit.  I’m happy that we finally found the time to collaborate with each other.”
