'Kerberos' is a hypnotic and driving cut, one that progresses and builds with precision and underlying menace. Its melodies intertwine from the first beat and it couldn't sum up the Systematic ethos better.

Set to build on Afterlife’s mesmerizing club concept that’s striking visual and musical identity has so far showcased at Off Sonar, ADE and Ibiza for a 13-week residency at Space, brand curator’s Tale Of Us have now added an extra dimension to its forward-thinking offering with a podcast series named ‘Afterlife Voyage’. 

Launching with a rare 2 hrs mix from Tale Of Us themselves, Afterlife Voyage 001 provides a unique insight into the duo’s ‘realm of consciousness’ and features a range of unreleased tracks and upcoming Afterlife releases. With names from the Afterlife record label also confirmed to contribute to this latest musical journey – their names yet to be revealed – the launch of the podcast series further emphasizes Tale Of Us’ growing dominance within the global club scene and reiterates Afterlife’s 360 degree exploration of music and the arts. 

Venturing to London this Friday 11th and Saturday 12th November for its UK debut, Afterlife will then head to in Miami for Art Basel on Saturday 3rd December for an engaging takeover that sees Marcel Dettmann and Recondite join proceedings.

Twinpitchers - da liegt die erste Besonderheit schon im Namen - denn hinter diesem Synonym verbirgt sich das Geschwisterpaar Tobi & Matze, gleichwohl sie schon einige Male die irrwitzigen Feststellung “Twinpitchers. Ach das sind zwei?!” über sich ergehen lassen mussten. Aber über sowas können die beiden Jungs aus Magdeburg nur herzhaft lachen und wer sie kennt weiß auch dass sie mit genügend Humor am Werke sind um auf jeder noch so langen Afterhour mit Bravour bestehen zu können.

Neben dem Sinn für all das schöne und lustige im Leben sind die Twinpitchers aber vor allem eines - Vollblut Entertainer! Wer sie schon einmal bei einem ihrer unzähligen Gigs in den Clubs der Republik live in Action erleben durfte, der weiß um ihre einmalige Performance und dem ausgeprägten Sinn für den Moment. Sie scheinen fast übersinnliche Superkräfte zu besitzen, anders ist die geballte Power die sie bei ihren Sets versprühen nicht zu erklären und dafür werden sie in Berlin von der Ritter Butzke, dem Golden Gate bis hin zur Bucht deines Vertrauens geliebt und geschätzt. Seit 2015 haben sie in dem Bremer Label AUDITIVE und als Residents im deutschlandweit bekannten Club WEIDENDAMM in Hannover ihr musikalisches zuhause gefunden.

The latest delivery from techno’s rising star, Charlotte de Witte, is an EP teeming with chaotic, hypnotizing groove that has us hitting replay. The young Belgian recently relocated from her hometown of Ghent to Brussels, inspiring the title of this new release, ‘Our Journey’, on Glasgow-based Sleaze Records. Charlotte is no stranger to hypnosis – it’s a hallmark of her work and one of the things that first drew us to her over a year ago – but the title track of this EP is infused with a new twist, thanks to creepy vocals that reach into darker realms. “I don’t know what happened in the studio, but I suppose I got into some state of trance while working on it,” she says.

Fresh off the back of a breakout 2016, replete with a strong release on Tiga’s Turbo Recordings and taking home the Best Producer award at Belgium’s Red Bull Elektropedia Awards (aka, the Oscars of Belgian nightlife), Charlotte de Witte is gearing up for a new year of tours, including in Asia and the US. DJ Mag is pleased to present the premiere of ‘Our Journey’ – and we’re pretty sure it’ll take you on a weird, warped journey of your own.
