The Way You Are

Over the years, I have written many songs and instrumentals. These have included co-writing 3 musicals for the stage and a few songs that have sold. However, my first love is writing quiet, unassuming songs that evoke reflective thoughts and feelings. Although I write to please myself, I also tend to write with more capable performers in mind, especially in the hope of attracting accomplished musicians to record covers.

Being an ‘old-school’ writer and yet a lover of the latest push, I almost always find myself writing music that can be played acoustically. I suppose this comes from my classical piano training as a child, my exposure to jazz, and my progression to brass instruments and the acoustic guitar. I hope that you enjoy my music and that it serves its purpose of transporting you to another, more reflective world.
