I worked with a guy who couldn't sit still. It will get awkward if he figures it out so I might leave it at this alongside the lyrics below. He's a champion though- yeah... 
Also, had the joy of sharing the creation of this track with a friend, Sam Lawson who contributed a pretty cool set of licks to the jazzy gat lines in the guts of the song. Thanks!!

For years I had a guy in the bush (where I do habitat work) who would cut plastic guards off of plantings and leave them stacked in piles. This song is about that. 
The album title is also taken from this song- the context being the ranting and preaching from this guy. Which I hear- and hold lightly.

So one day I off-handedly referred to a friend of mine as a 'man of altitude' given he's a hand gliding, para-punting nutter who was feeling a little grounded and he loved it so much that I felt the need to write a song about it. 
I also wanted to both encourage and celebrate that as a point of view- tethered precariously above our patchwork landscape. big-ups matt.

Hi- I'm Greg and this is my songwriting project, 'Follower'. I'm a keen musician and bedroom recording artist. I'd love to get to the point where I have the ability to gain a grant and some studio time- really get the most out of all these different sounds; craft a song with others ears involved... good mics... but yeah- IN THE MEAN TIME I'm just gonna keep smashing the tunes out.
