Mayan Warrior is the result of a collaborative project that has united artists, craftsmen, photographers, designers, technologists, architects and musicians from Mexico City and Northern California. 

The project’s original intent was to present to the world the incredible ascent of contemporary Mexican electronic music while paying respect to the deep and ancient sources from which that visual and auditory culture had grown.


Both light and sound are curated by some of the world’s most prominent artists to transport participants to the very origins of the culture – and to a new understanding of contemporary electronic expression.

AND YES: Mayan Warrior is driven from Mexico City to the playa – and back – each year. It's a labor of love and we're glad so many people enjoy it.

LOKMAN is a Mesopotamian-born artist and a storyteller whose music is a dynamic socio-cultural act—a bridge between worlds.
Since 2007, his sound has been a tapestry of global rhythms, weaving together ancient Mesopotamian roots with nomadic blues and cosmic echoes. It's raw, rebellious, and deeply connected, a call to those who feel untamed and boundless.
Throughout his career, LOKMAN has worked and resided in various countries, including Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, England, and Tulum, before settling in New York.

When i was a child he began to discover my passion towards electronic music, looking at international Techno music panorama. Not long after i deepened my musical knowledge
by first playing acoustic drums 
later on i devoted my time to the analogic synthesizer’s analysis, i took up a Dj passion, inspiring by artists such as Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, Jeff Mills, Marco Carola and Loco Dice. 
now i started my career as a producer, creating my own music

Greg Barris is a staple in New York’s downtown stand-up scene and is the creator of Heart Of Darkness: a psychedelic showcase of comedy, live music and fringe scientists that has been a frequent Time Out New York critic’s pick, much loved by BrooklynVegan and hailed as ‘Excellent’ by The New Yorker. Mind Warriors: Bringing you the most cutting edge information from the edge of the universe (that's two edges).  Mind Warriors is a comedic, science interview show hosted by Greg Barris that gathers a world view and delves into the spiritual, scientific research and practices of each guest Mind Warrior with a question and answer session at the end with the audience.  This is taped and aired online live as a webcast for a web series that airs on DangerousMinds.net and featured on several other sites as well.  Past guests have been: Douglas Rushkoff, Graham Hancock, Daniel Pinchbeck and Dennis Mckenna.
