This Spring, the Psionic imprint returns with its seventh chapter, welcoming rising Uruguayan talent Juanma Alegre to the fold.  Across four forward-thinking, rave-infused cuts, Alegre blurs the boundaries between mysticism and pure dancefloor drive.

Flipping to the B-side, “Intrus” locks into intricate percussion and mind-warping textures, maintaining pressure without letting up. Finally, “Going Inside” closes the record with breakbeat pulses and off-kilter rhythms, channeling raw emotion straight to the heart of the peak-time floor.

Originally from Ireland but based in Spain, @heather-johns-1 is the co-founder of NestMicro Fest, an intimate music festival in Barcelona’s countryside. Her selections drift from deep downtempo and dubby textures to playful house, electro, and disco cuts. Over the past year, she played at Atipik´s Le Chant des Oiseaux Festival in France and delivered mixes for @ninetofive.recordings and Kommuna Barcelona.

In the shadowed hills beyond the old monastery, where vines strangled pillars and silence lay thick as dust, there existed a forgotten garden — one not marked on any map. They called it the Garden of Stone and Scale.

Nobody knew who built it. Local legend claimed it had once been a sanctuary for ancient artists, or perhaps a temple to gods whose names had been eroded by time. But everyone agreed on two things: the statues were unlike anything else in the world, and the snakes were always watching.

Mr Ho is invited in to remix Adam Curtain on a new EP launched off the back of a new record label from the Love International crew. This one focusses on the slightly darker, moodier undertones of club culture.

Pablo Sánchez´s new solo album “Archipiélago” is out now. The new long player, a follow-up to his “Nocturnal” album as Basic Need will be released on Sisternoise Records and is a 42 minute voyage sailing through uncharted waters.

Every archipelago is a constellation of islands, distinct yet bound by invisible tides. Archipiélago, the latest work from Pablo Sánchez, follows this same geography of sound and memory. Its islands are not of sand and rock, but of places which inspired the artist throughout his life; Buenos Aires, Caracas, Puerto Rico, New York, Madrid, Berlin, and Barcelona. Each city has left a trace, a shoreline carved into Sánchez’s musical journey and left a distinctive musical mark. 

The ten songs gathered here are like sovereign entities, each with its own character, its own rhythm, its own language. Together they form a single territory, a map drawn by musical experience, longing, and imagination. They are ports of call, but also fragments of a larger voyage, where tradition and experimentation, nostalgia and discovery, coexist to create a common territory. Along the way guest magicians Animal Feelings and Salomeya add their vocal sparks to the voyage. 

Archipiélago is not a destination but a map of crossings, a territory of sound where the journey itself becomes home.

For this first collaboration, Occibel teams up with Light Blue File, a friend he met recently in Paris.

Light Blue File & Occibel - Inner Child (PF003)

Co-Accused Records return this autumn with From The Pit, a four-track EP from Paris-born, Berlin-based producer SOD-90 that seeks out connections between electro, industrial, breakbeat and EBM. Locking into the raw, gritty range of distortion that defines his sound, the release also features a remix from Hamburg’s L.F.T. and follows SOD-90’s label debut with 'Saving Up For Botox’ last year.

A classically trained flautist, professional musician and teacher, SOD-90’s electronic production has become an increasingly vital part of his daily life. Working almost exclusively with hardware, his tracks emerge from spontaneous sessions as a channel for emotional release, fuelled by bursts of adrenaline and a need to counterbalance the refinement of classical music. Distortion, for him, is a way to dig deeper into timbre and sonic depth, pulling distinctive textures out of his machines.

For Chavez, genres are suggestions, not rules. With a deep respect for the roots of house and techno, he moves effortlessly through eras, shaping each set with funk, groove, and unfiltered emotion. We are so happy to have him in our series!

1. How and where was the mix recorded?
This mix was recorded in my studio, just my records and my silly ideas :)

2. Can you tell us about the idea behind the mix?
I was sidelined this summer with an injury; had not really had an opportunity to play out during recovery. This was a celebration for me to be able to get back on my feet.

3. What are you up to next? Projects, ideas…
 I have been working on my new label, BNB, for some time now. Expecting to drop some of my beat tapes in the coming year, as well as the dance portion of my label will be released next year. I have some ideas in mind for some traveling, but I'm going to give myself the rest of the year to tie up some of these releases.

4. Lastly, for you what is Dance, Shake, Swing!?
DSS! is a discipline, one must meditate on this daily.
