"Dungeons & Wagons" came from a random thought: "We ran the monsters down with our Range Rover!" I don't know if the sentence or the story came into my brain first, they were so close together. After a lot of time working on the lyrics and then iterating with Suno AI, I got this and I love it. IMO it's a total earworm.

This song is for all the people who have been told to sit down, shut up, and stop being themselves just to make others comfortable. They act like your behavior is a personal affront and they deserve an apology. You don't need to apologize and definitely don't need to be forgiven. You just need to be who you are and spend your time with people who appreciate you for you.

Sometimes a song gets inspired by a random thought. "Tuna fish, potato chips, and soft white bread" was the thought. What's more fun is the sort of saxophone / child's toy melody during the breaks is something I whistled into the mic and let Suno run with. The use of that silly instrument and the jaunty feel of the melody go perfectly with the tone of the lyrics. I'm liking finding ways to put more of myself into the pieces I create with Suno.

Picky Eater

I came up with this idea years ago, that a baseball swing could also be a great way to bang a gong. I then wrote some lyrics and let it sit in my files. With the all-star game coming up, I thought it was the perfect time to dust it off and put it to music with the help of Suno.

Dark Lullaby (a song for nightmares)

This song is one I came up with in my car, wrote the lyrics... then lost them. I did remember the refrain: "You are enough. You fill my cup." I decided to write a new song from scratch around those two sentences, inspired by my wife.

On the day I finished it, I met my wife as she got home. "Dinner's ready, but have a dance with me." I slow danced to it with her in the kitchen. She smiled all week.

Many, many years ago, back in the ancient time of the late 1980s, I was sitting in the parking lot of a comedy club with some other comics, when one of the ladies leapt like Nureyev, but not as gracefully. "What was that," I asked. "Bad Ballet," she replied. It was infectious. Comedians aren't afraid to make fools of themselves, so there were about 6 of us, dancing like idiots in the parking lot.

It was SO fun. This song is intended to encourage people to let loose and have fun. Not just dancing like no one is watching, but just having fun acting a fool to music.

Many years ago, I frequented the karaoke night at a Polynesian rib joint in West Los Angeles, called Kelbo's. One night, Bill Nunn (the actor) came in and requested to sing "My Girl." The karaoke host invited me and another regular to sing backup. Bill launched into the song, but replaced "my girl" with "yo mama." It brought the house down. Cancer took him from us too soon, so this is part me just being stupid and part tribute to Bill Nunn.
