Night in forest with deer rut very close

Distant woodpackers hitting wood on shore of lake Cerknica. Some human noise which cant be avoided here. Very cold morning at -10degree C lake is covered with ice which later when sun gets high making very excotic sounds.

Experience the raw beauty of nature as a distant thunderstorm rolls across the Kamnik Alps. Soft rain falls gently while deep rumbles of thunder echo through the mountains.

This recording was captured after an off-trail hike across rocky terrain and the fresh path of a recent rockslide. Carrying recording equipment over 300 meters above the Kamniška Bistrica valley, I finally reached a secluded cave that offered shelter from the rain.

From this hidden vantage point, the soundscape reveals the tranquil yet powerful atmosphere of the storm.

Thats short clip from one night under highest peakes in Alps - rock walls almost 1000meter high makes that place awesome echo. Owls in that time were crazy - never hear so intensive all night and so many different sounds from them. Also its time of deer rutting - and one came very close to microphones. Wind higher at mountains makes noise sound.
