Sabb - Illusiones ft Rafa Barrios - Noir Music

Adam Beyer and Ida Engberg come together to create a new track after the success of the highly acclaimed 'Lovecraft'. 'Unanswered Question' uses a weighty kick drum and a sensuous vocal before the track breaks into some groovy synth stabs. Julian Jeweil's remix of 'Unanswered Question' is a late night dubbed out version that compromises of a groove that pulsates throughout and falls into the original synth stabs before rising back into the funky, dubbed out groove. The Dense & Pika remix uses unusual percussion to produce a chunky groovy rhythm. When the track breaks it takes the listener on an eerie journey before it kicks back in to the chunky drum beat. The final track 'Virga' is a more melodic techno offering that finishes the single off with a classy finish.

After the success of the first A-sides compilation in 2012, Adam Beyer has decided its time to release another. With Adam’s stature steadily growing as one of the leading talents in the Techno scene and the rise of Drumcode, the standard of demo’s that have been sent to Adam have been top notch. Adam has now decided to release two compilations with 10 tracks each, consisting of tracks that Adam has tried and tested. There are also new artists that have been invited to release on Drumcode for this compilation and others who are a staple in Drumcode’s core family. Combining both old and new talents Drumcode have come up with something unique and distinctive to make this two-part compilation something extra special.

Gregor Tresher´s recent full-length album “Lights From The Inside” has been praised by the press, DJs and fans alike as yet another masterpiece in a long line of releases that has cemented Gregor´s status as one of the most consistent artists in modern electronic music. Tracks like “Leaving”, “Through The Shadow Glass” and “As Days Go By” (pre-released on Josh Wink´s Ovum imprint) found their way into playlists and charts of many of the usual suspects in the international Techno circuit. 

While Gregor is halfway into an extensive 6-month world tour, we are now very proud to present the album remixes. Gregor invited five of his favorite producers of the moment to remix their favorite tracks from the album. First up we have Nic Fanciulli, who once again shows why he is one of the most in-demand artists of the moment, giving that special Saved-touch to his interpretation of “Lights From The Inside” by turning the more contemplative original into an A-class primetime weapon for summer-dancefloors! Next up we have Dave Sumner aka Function, one half of the mighty Sandwell District, who adds his signature, dark and twisted touch to his interpretation of "Through The Shadow Glass” by really focusing on the “shadows” - we can see this remix tearing things up at the more industrial Techno floors. Then we have Dosem from Spain - every fan of electronic music will be aware of his recent productions on Tronic or Sino - finding the perfect balance of melodies and dancefloor-appeal once again! With his moody approach, Nick Curly (together with production partner Gorge) from the now-famous Mannheim area, pays respect to the melodious vibe of the original track delivering another highlight of the package. Last but not least we have a remix by one of the most recent Break New Soil contributors: Patrick Siech, truly one of the producers of Sweden´s new school of Techno, chose “Echelon” and transformed the already massive original into something even bigger. 

It´s a nice coincidence that with this release by labelowner Gregor Tresher himself, Break New Soil celebrates the anniversary of being 25 releases young. Here"s to many years to come! Enjoy!

Lutzenkirchen - All That Jazz (Lützenkirchens Lo Mix) (Great Stuff)

The duo make their debut to Drumcode Limited with a heavy, two track release. The EP showcases a mix of their talents and influences to create a moody, dark techno groove. The atmospheric EP is enriched with gritty reverbs and a deep kick drum and the slow, deep crescendos in each track create an intense sound. Mullaert and Siech prove themselves again with a powerful offering to Drumcode Limited.

It is with a feverish excitement that we can finally announce the next EP in our catalog from our newest addition to the Second State family: Amelie Lens. Besides being quite a multi-talented virtuoso, the Belgian artist comes in hot and heavy for her debut release ‘Let It Go’ and with it showcases her prowess for dark, cutting-edge techno. Over the span of four tracks Lens takes us on a tour-de-force journey into the cerebral spaces of large, dark rooms and flashing strobe lights. Kicking things off is the hypnotically inducing 'Wild' with looping vocals laid over an ever increasing pressure of percussion and white noise. Much like the EP opener, 'Linger On' casts the same spell yet picks up the pace with racing snares and meteoric synth washes creating a deeply euphoric ride. The title track ’Let It Go' is up next and is by far the most 'cheeky' tune of the EP with a twisted acid line swirling around the constant begging of Lens’ voice encouraging you to "Let It Go, Let It Out". Rounding out the EP is 'The Finest Hour' and Lens wraps up her debut with the most psychedelic cut of the package. Low rumbling bass tones and spaced out pads over sparse drums leave lots of room for the imagination providing each listener to create their own journey to navigate. If this is Amelie Lens' debut with us, we expect a lot of very big things to come from the young Belgian and so should you. Welcome Amelie Lens!
