Shore Bar Axel - Dance Temple 26 - Boom Festival 2014

A track that Luan Parle & I wrote for her 2010 album, the full circle. The song came together within 5 minutes but it took a few re writes to get the lyrical content working, Sita being a fictitious working woman of negotiable virtue. The brass break comes from a sample that I found in Reason that I used at the demo stage but it stuck so Richie Buckley on sax & Danny Healy on trumpet doubled it up. Contains my piano playing which isn't normally used on albums, me being closer to a boxer than a piano player but it had a crusty beatlesque feel so again it stayed. Also featured the great Picture House rhythm section of Aongus Ralston on bass and Johnny Boyle on kit.

Blues/Rock Band, B and the Honeyboys recorded their debut album in 2007 and we had a lot of fun while working on the album. Featuring my old mate Kieran McEvoy on guitars & Vocals, Aileen Mythen on vocals, Shane Atlas on drums & Paddy on bass, they had recorded basic tracks with Sean Devitt and we added the overdubs like Lead vocals, BV's, Guitar solos & Brass/Hammond/Piano from the wonderful Podge KIlbride. Guys are currently working on the second album.
