“When I write, I try to envision my live show and how the songs will translate to my fans.  Personally, I'm in a really good place right now, and I am sure my new material reflects that.  I am so excited to get these tunes out to everyone soon."
 
Eric Dodd, MV2 Entertainment singer- songwriter, CMT Discovery Artist, and Greensboro, Georgia native took his time moving to Nashville.  He wanted to learn the road first by playing shows wherever there were people willing to listen.  He wanted to know how it felt to travel and sleep in a van with a band and give it all to the grind...to the music.  For his first four years full-time in the music business, Dodd played over 500 shows by making his rounds on the SEC college circuit and around Georgia all while honing his songwriting skills.  Between 2011 and 2014, he released four albums independently to his loyal, grassroots following, and the word kept spreading and still is.  “It’s like a muscle, you have to keep working it.  Whether it's writing songs or playing shows, it's all about getting to the people and keeping in touch with them."  
 
Growing up a talented golfer, Dodd earned a golf scholarship to Georgia College and State University.  Although golf was his first love, he was more was in love with music.  
In 2015, Dodd began working with one of his best buddies and high school bandmate, Jesse Triplett (Collective Soul's lead guitarist) who produced Dodd's 2016 release, ‘FUN / FIRE/ RAIN.’  Later that year, Eric was picked as a CMT Discovery Artist. Dodd's video for the party anthem, “Outskirts” reached the #1 spot on CMT’s 12-Pack Countdown twice.    The singer-songwriter’s positive vibe and feel good lyrics combined with the soothing tone of his voice and impassioned guitar skills is continuing to win over crowds wherever he plays.   “I always aim for my shows to be engaging.  Music is an escape from reality, and I want to give people that and take them on a trip during the hour I get with them,” he explains.   
 
Dodd has shared the stage with Jake Owen, Old Dominion, Sam Hunt, Zac Brown Band, and most recently Sister Hazel, Corey Smith and Cole Swindell.  “Opening up for Sister Hazel's sold out show at the Georgia Theatre in Athens (Georgia) has to be one of my favorite moments onstage. For most of Adam’s life, he figured he’d follow in his father’s footsteps, as most people do in rural East Texas, and jump right into the oil field after college. Fears admits. “It was fully and one hundred percent through the power of a lot of long conversations with the man upstairs that got me into the music business.”

Though he began to draw attention in the Texas music circuit playing college bars while he was at Texas A&M University, his opportunity to pursue a career in country music did not arise until his final year at A&M. Fears recalls, “we [the band] were all about to graduate and go our separate ways and I didn’t know where music was going for me. I prayed about it so much. My grandparents ended up sitting next to a man from Nashville in church one Sunday morning who had a friend in the music business. My CD was passed onto the man from Nashville, who ultimately saw to it that it ended up on the desk of a Music City music publisher.” Seven years later Adam still writes songs for that same Nashville publishing company, Faverett Entertainment.

Adam has been diligently working to hone his craft as an artist and songwriter. He has written thousands of songs, some with hit makers such as Blake Mevis (“Fool Hearted Memory”), Lee Miller (“In Color”), and Don Goodman (“Angels Among Us”). He toured extensively for radio and fans in support of his 2007 independently released album, You Get Me, which quickly provided success for multiple singles on the Texas Music Chart. 

Adam has reaped the rewards of his efforts by having his compositions recorded on other artists’ records. He says a milestone for him was when he and Eric Lee Beddingfield wrote the song, “The Gospel According to Jones.” By luck, Eric had George Jones come in to the studio and sing on it with him. This led to the song being featured on the Grand Ole Opry, and George walking onstage at his own shows with the video of my song playing behind him on the jumbotron. The video for the song was even one of Billboard’s Top Video Picks of 2011. “It’s been an amazing experience!” Fears says, with a big grin.

In 2012, Adam Fears inked a recording deal with Nashville based LandStar Entertainment and went to work in the studio cutting his debut release for the label. Friend and co-writer Jeremy Stover, who has written and produced number one songs and hit records on artists Justin Moore and Jack Ingram, among others, produced the album, Golden Gravel Road. This music will take you down a red dirt road, play you something fun to dance to, even give you some old school twang when you need it. Adam adds, “There’s no geographic boundaries to this record. If you’ve ever been young, ever been in love, ever rolled down your window and drove too fast, you’ll get this record.” All of the album's singles hit Top 20 on the Texas Country charts:  "Middle of Nowhere," "There's A Girl Out There," along with the title track, “Golden Gravel Road.” 

A new song called, “Groove,” written by Adam, appears on Sammy Kershaw's newest record, released in summer of 2015. He also went on to write Mila Mason's comeback single, "Run Like A Girl," and CMT featured "Summer On Fire" on an episode of Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders: Making The Team, in August 2015. Look for new music from Adam in 2016.
