There is really nothing like writing one's own bio. I hope you enjoy this, Internet, because I sure enjoyed doing it! 

Julie McDonald, b. 1986, is a mediocre violinist and singer, and a rather poor cellist, violist, and pianist. She used to be a mediocre bass player as well, but is out of practice. Perhaps one day she will once again achieve mediocrity as a bassist, but only time will tell. 

McDonald has played in a number of musical ensembles at a variety of events, including the Perrysburg Symphony Orchestra, Maumee Community Band, Jefferson City Symphony Orchestra, Columbia Civic Orchestra, a bluegrass band, and has played as a guest in many groups for small events over the years. She played in the Northwest Ohio Regional Orchestra in 2003, and in a pit orchestra for a 2003 production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Most recently, McDonald played in the pit for a local production of Bye Bye Birdie, and will be playing in the pit orchestra for an upcoming production of Peter Pan. 

Some of McDonald's non-musical achievements include learning to make awesome pancakes, lasagna, and deviled eggs, writing several blogs, one of which has had a ten year following (the number of people following it is not important!), building a successful career in the field of hospitality as the result of her #2 of 3 choices of jobs in a drop down menu on an application to a world-famous amusement park, developing a reputation in a neurologist's office of having a special talent for injecting people quickly and painlessly with controlled substances, making people laugh about their problems, being the friend everyone knows they can call if they need someone to talk to at 3 in the morning, and getting a fork lift license in Michigan, where she's never lived. 

McDonald was born and raised in the Toledo, Ohio area; she's lived in Waterville, Maumee, Perrysburg, Sandusky, and Findlay, Ohio, and now resides in Jefferson City, Missouri, where she has made many great friends and finally feels at home.
