We love exciting new talent here at DT which is why it is our pleasure to present to you an exclusive mix from one of the fastest rising names in electronic music in Stil Von Talent signing and Oliver Koletzki collaborator Niko Schwind. 
For his latest, he locks horns with his self-professed ‘tutor’, Oliver Koletzki, for an EP that further enhances the credentials of all involved parties. The cheekily named ‘She Wants Acid’ features three original cuts - with each one maintaining their own sense of wonderment and has been a release we've been unable to get off of our playlist or out of heads since it arrived last month. 

Taking us on a trip through the dark tunnels of the techno underground before building through peak time destroyers this is a mix sure to ignite any ailing dancefloor.

Das Spiegelbild ist viel mehr als das seitenverkehrte Bild, welches man von sich betrachtet… Täglich schaut man hinein, doch einem wird viel zu selten bewusst, welcher Wert sich dahinter verbirgt. Selbstzweifel, Ängste und Sorgen bestimmen viel zu häufig unseren Alltag; die Dinge auf die es im Leben ankommt werden viel zu selten gesehen. Hinter jedem Spiegelbild steckt ein Familienmitglied, ein Freund oder ein Seelenverwandter, dessen Betrübtheit sein Umfeld ebenso betrübt  macht und dessen Glück sein Umfeld ebenso glücklich macht. Schlagzeilen, „falsche“ Freunde und das Schaffen einer Existenz beherrschen uns und verschließen unsere Augen vor dem, was wir in unserem Spiegelbild sehen sollten: Einen Menschen, der am Leben ist; der lachen kann und die Chance hat, jeden Tag wunderbare Begegnungen zu erleben. Indem wir der Musik lauschen, können wir den Spiegel zu unserer Seele öffnen. Wichtig ist nicht was wir sehen, sondern wie wir es sehen…

Tja, wo soll man bei diesem jungen Mann bloß anfangen?
Wir würden ihn sehr lebhaft und energiegeladen nennen, denn das spürt man sofort wenn man vor ihm steht. Ursprünglich kommt er aus dem HipHop, was für DJs der Szene nicht unüblich ist und alles andere als einen Nachteil darstellt. Vor einiger Zeit hat er sich dann, zusammen mit einem guten Freund, unter dem Namen UCP als DJ und Produzent verwirklicht. Die beiden sind oft im Studio und verbringen viel Zeit mit ihrer Musik, sowie mit dem schmieden von Plänen. Dabei ist unter anderem auch das Label InDepth Sounds entstanden, welches den Fokus auf die Tiefe der Musik legt. Alles hat einen sehr cineastischen Ansatz, was sich in vielen Produktionen widerspiegelt und natürlich auch Kempstarr als Künstler sehr inspiriert. 
Unser Podcast Nummer 40 wird also dieses Mal mit verschiedenen, teilweise dramatischen Elementen belegt, und zeigt eine ganz eigene, verspielte und doch fordernde Seite von ihm.

Moon Harbour gave me the opportunity to mix the 15 Years  Compilation.Happy Birthday.

Not many labels make it to release number fifteen, let alone year 15, but that’s exactly the milestone the Moon Harbour family is celebrating throughout 2015. Headed up by esteemed DJ, producer, remixer and Circoloco/DC10 Ibiza resident Matthias Tanzmann and manager André Quaas, the Leipzig based label has lasted so long on account of it having always moved ahead of the times. Celebrated for its diverse output from tech house to minimal to deeper club sounds, the label’s ever evolving roster of artists is like a who’s who of the contemporary scene.
 
As Matthias Tanzmann puts it looking back at the development of the label: “I was still pretty young when we started the label in 2000, so we have all grown up together for 15 years now. Moon Harbour is like my child. I am happy many artists joined the family or became good friends and that the label has become a home for all of us.” Next to core family members and label acts like Luna City Express, Sable Sheep, Marco Faraone, Sven Tasnadi, Dan Drastic and the boss himself are new school talents and carefully A&Red artists like Adam Port, Re.You, Ekkohaus, wAFF, Cuartero, Steve Lawler, DJ T., Chris Wood & Meat, Butch and Detlef.
 
The label has built up an exceptional canon of music that's lead to the release of no less than 100 EPs, five artist albums and ten label compilations. It makes dance floors move hours and hours, but also sticks in the minds much longer thanks to its real sense of invention and originality. This has been proven by big Moon Harbour hits such as Sable Sheep's “Upon Burning Skies”, the summer hit of 2013, Santos’ “Hold Home”, but also Matthias Tanzmann’s “Bulldozer” and his remix of Marlow & Delhia's "Movin" back in 2006, which took Moon Harbour to the next level in terms of international awareness.
 
Thanks to the reputation of the label, Moon Harbour label showcases are a solid addition to globally acknowledged festivals and events such as the Miami Music Week, Sónar week in Barcelona, the Amsterdam Dance Event and at various places in Ibiza, to name a few.
 
The monthly Moon Harbour Radio show, hosted by Dan Drastic, has meanwhile clocked up more than 60 episodes and is available as a podcast at iTunes and on Soundcloud and Play.fm, as well as being broadcasted through various international radio stations such as Ibiza Sonica. It has established itself with fans as a reliable source of new music and information from the Moon Harbour label and its artists.
 
To celebrate all this there will be a Moon Harbour tour around the world, which kicks off at the Sónar week in Barcelona. Additionally there will be an anniversary compilation with exclusive tracks by Moon Harbour artists and friends, as well as rereleases of the most successful tracks from the last 15 years.

Hey Leute heute kommt der Sound von Be.the.Flow und Luu aus dem schönen Wien ! In diesem Mix haben sie einige ihrer persönlichen Evergreen Tracks auf ein 2 Stündiges Mixtape verteilt. Unsere zweite Gretchencast kommt heute von dem Straubinger DJ und Produzenten Markus Müller. Mit seiner langjährigen Erfahrung im Musik und Veranstaltungsgeschäft hat er sich in seiner Heimat bereits seit längerem einen Namen in der Elektronischen Musik gemacht. 
Ebenfalls ist er mit Betreiber der ebenfalls local bekannten Cafe Bar Lounge "Sorgenfrei", wo Woche für Woche Jünger der Elektronischen Musik voll auf ihre Kosten kommen. Genug der Worte Ohren auf für Markus Müller.

Doch erkannte er schnell, dass ihm das analoge Klangbild mehr zusagt. Seit dieser Zeit intensivierte er seine Vorliebe fürs Vinyl. Nun versorgt er ausgelassene, entspannte Tanzveranstaltungen mit seinem ganz individuellen Sound. Dies gelingt ihm durch eine Fusion aus schwungvollem Swing, melodischem Deep House und rhythmischem Tech House.

Aus heutiger Sicht dürfen wir uns wohl alle darüber freuen
denn unser nächster Gretchencast kommt aus der Feder dieses besagten Nerds.
knarzfunk aus München lässt uns eine Stunde in seine Definition von Elektronsicher Tanzmusik eintauchen, seine Liebe zu analogen vintage synthesizern und melodien die 
uns verträumt zurücklassen ist dabei nicht zu überhören und gerade zu perfekt für kommenden Tage.
Mit seinen eigenen Lieder komplettieren die Tracklist dieses Dj-Sets und verzaubern die Menschen auch während seiner Livesets immer wieder.
Nach Gigs in der Roten Sonne, dem Baalsaal in Hamburg und dem Klangtherapie-Festival freuen wir uns nun auch knarzfunk zu den Gretchen-Artists zählen zu dürfen.
