Premiere: Matt Masters - Once Again [Freerange]

'Instant Hauz are a duo consisting of Ray Becker and Lighthouz fresh out of Italy. They deliver a leaned back slice of sweet house heaven, appropriately named ‘Sugar’.

 Soft melodic pads set the tone throughout accompanied by prompt high hats and guitar licks which bring an ever so slight sense of urgency to the track.   Saucy backing vocal samples accompany the lead vocals which suggests there is more than one person enjoying this ‘sugar’.'

Miami based duo Steve Sanx and Rico from Paris are Wolf Story, the next act up on Get Physical Music.

Between them this pair has a rich heritage that dates back to the nineties and takes in running labels like Goldentears and Bimini Records and DJing with Popof. Together they have shaken the walls of clubs all over Europe as well as festivals like Movement. They starred on the Defected Ibiza 2018 Compilation and have had props from Kevin Saunderson, so are a well-established duo always making moves.

The gorgeous ‘Heart Love’ is suitably emotive, with dancing drums and glowing keys, soaring synths and expressive, dreamy vocals all uplifting your soul. The pianos are played with real feeling, and the string stabs only enrich things further to make this the sort of lush, open air house track to get hands in the air and the love flowing.

The second superb offering is ‘Between The World And Me’, which is just as impressively musical but on a more downbeat and introspective tip. Again fleshed out with beautiful chords and keys, bird calls and deeper drums play off while you wallow in the midst of this most heart-warming track.

Wolf Story really conjure up some magic here, on this latest gem from Get Physical Music.

🗯🗯 How Did Corona change your artist life? 🗯🗯

On March 9 2020 everything changed in my life. That Sunday was my third booking for the weekend and I was supposed to play in Napoli. But they went into lockdown on this date and it was the first booking I lost because of Covid. Afterwards all the other bookings got cancelled as well and I had no more income. At first it was quite a shock, but with time I realised I finally had a chance to work more on production, become a better producer, and finally also have the time to write my book. I enjoyed many great live streams during the past 11 Months, but I miss playing for people. I was very lucky that I had a chance to play 4 gigs on Mauritius during December. They don’t have Covid and my 5 weeks there where just amazing, having a normal live again for that time. But we all want to dance again and meet friends - here in Berlin and everywhere else.

🗯🗯 Where did you record the mix and how did you feel? 🗯🗯

Last night I recorded the set at home in Berlin. It was my first set since the return from Mauritius and it felt great to be back with the music again.

🗯🗯 What are your wishes for the time after Corona? 🗯🗯

I can’t wait to be back on tour again and I just hope that all artists and venues will survive this crisis. My wish is that we will have learned how much value music and togetherness gives to our lives and people will appreciate more what clubs and artists are giving them with their passion and hard work.
