I think it’s safe to say that the last three mixes in this series have been a narrative of some particularly tumultuous times in my life. At this point I’m happy to say that I’m feeling mentally and physically healthier than I have been in the last three years. Getting a grip on my vices and making healthier choices with my time has recharged my batteries, and having this pandemic shit somewhat wrapping up - I’m feeling more motivated than ever to get back to the music. 
I also wanna dedicate this mix to to all the incredible souls that we’ve lost in the past year. Some of the brightest lights have left us and it’s truly been heartbreaking for so many of us. So tell your people you love them and don’t take anything for granted.

Decided to upload my mix from the Islands regional burn event this past June. Super grateful to have played at 1 am on the Island Wubs stage. Went for heavy hitters only so this mix is a bit heftier than usual but it was super fun to throw down on the big sound system. Thank you to Dace, Malcolm and all the organizers for putting this on. Thanks to the Mindgarden Vic crew, the VOID system was pushing all weekend long.

About Mews
From the forest of the west coast of BC Mews was raised in the paws of festival culture. Her passion for music was ignited at a young age and she always dreamed of being on stage. That dream came true when she played her festival debut for The Grove stage at Shambhala Music Festival in 2021. 
She has been shooting for the stars ever since.
Her sound is largely influenced by all types of bass music, predominantly coming from the UK along with R’nB, HipHop, Downtempo and Nostalgic Dance Floor anthems from her youth. You can count on her to get your body moving.
When she’s not playing at a festival or traveling the world you can find her nestled in the mountains of Nelson BC.
