Taken from "Submersion - Entrainment EP (Greyscale)". Out June 30th 2023. Buy here : https://scale-limited.bandcamp.com

Greyscale #10 is here for the masses! To make things even more exciting, the long awaited is a double vinyl edition! Submersion has been on many top deep and dub techno labels in the past 15 years such as Silent Season, Space of Variants, Milieu Music, Deep Electronics, diametric, Rohs! and more.
A landing at Greyscale makes complete sense for the quality Submersion is known for. 'Entrainment' is for those deep dub techno fans that like extended atmospheric tracks surrounded by a heavy ambience. 3 of the 4 sides have 1 track to its entire side making the fidelity of these top notch! 'Transversal, Planetary, Capsule' fills up side A with an amazing and gentle intro that has ominous clouds on the horizon. The beat is distance, while the nuances of the airspace is fully dedicated to submerging you deep within. A trulymagical and enveloping sound. The next track to uncover is 'Filter, Gradation, Centrifuge'.Imagine that the earth is a ever-evolving dub techno track and you were viewing or listening to it from the distance of the moon. This would be it! There is a tremendous distance that is created in this track where chords flow and move like clouds over large areas of distance.Sometimes, the best description is a visual one if it helps. Breathtaking! 'Stimulant,
Perspective, Sensory' starts the next piece of vinyl with another epic one. It morphs like a planet is being formed before your eyes. Basslines move like mountains while chords strike like distance thunder. The last side has 2 tracks sharing the side. 'Reflectance, Reverberant, Cortisol' and 'Predawn'. The first is a grandious ambient number that sounds heavenly while the last featured song is equally stunning as almost a reprise of a previous. Entrainment will be available on white 180-gram double vinyl as well as CD digipak and digital. These are all supersonic soundscapes to immerse yourself in! Masterpieces!

Hypnotic Podcast - Sa3b

So...I take a deep breath now...because this is something so very special to me what I am able to introduce to you now...since a certain time a nice ongoing connection of music love has build to Chris a.k.a. Noosa Soundsystem from Australia. And now he has built a set especially for MLD!! Can't believe that this is real now...he is such a talented producer and those who know about his releases find a very unique and deep sound in his tracks...also his fast developement is amazing and very inspiring for me...I'm curious about his process in future!
so here's what Chris himself says about this special mix:
"Rather than opting to beat mix a dub techno set, I wanted to create something special for this guest mix - and in so doing - maybe share a deeper insight into the sonic aesthetic that informs the Noosa Sound System project. Taking a deep dive into my personal archives for this session, we navigate some pretty abstract long-form ambient territory in places. Whilst there is also some re workings of material from the Beyond the Sphere album that released last year on Greyscale.
Normally some of these more experimental recordings might sit on the hard drive, as sample material or sound design references. However putting them together into a different narrative that wouldn't usually eventuate, has been a super interesting exercise leading to this exclusive set.
I hope you enjoy the session as much as I did, and if you listen carefully, you'll hear someone present during recording, loose it at one point as we start spinning a radio on the old 1200 Mk2. I left this in the final edit because it captures the fun to be had when we don't take our time in the studio too seriously! All that remains now is to express my thanks, much love and respect to Sai for the invite to MLD, and of course to you for listening - whoever you are - please don't be a stranger!

One love - Chris (Noosa Sound System)"

Noosa Sound System for MLD

https://scale-limited.bandcamp.com/album/fargazing-grscl43

Sephirot’s debut on Greyscale, Fargazing, is a stunning exploration of sound that gracefully balances synthetic textures with organic atmospheres. Across ten tracks, the UK-based artist produces a creative sound design, crafting an album rich in depth, spaciousness and emotional resonance.
The journey begins with 'Chúl', where a broken beat emerges from a dense static interference, gradually unveiling luminous chords and a clever rhythmic interplay. This introduction to the album immediately shows how it thrives on subtle evolution and intricate layering. 'Deep [SEM]', a dub techno gem, has a melodic beauty and progression to it. Its harmonious interplay of evolving melodies creates a lush, layered soundscape that feels like a serene paradise. 'FP/B6' leans into a techier groove with a tight beat and organic landscape, giving the track a natural vibrancy. 'Midnight, Our' is a standout, with its shimmering melodies and subliminal bassline revealing their full intent in the latter half. The track’s final moments become a breathtaking crescendo, leaving you wanting more. 'Holding Patter(n)' serves as a contemplative intermission, blending orchestral tones with dense delays before transitioning into a whimsical conclusion. It’s a perfectly placed pause, preparing the listener for the second half of the album. Tracks like 'Midsummer' and 'Ochred' embrace the genre’s dub roots, combining broken beats with airy, uplifting production. The latter, in particular, radiates positivity and hope with breathtaking chord stabs and a expansive energy. 'Ellipsoidal' deepens the immersion, constructing scenic depth and an enveloping sense of distance. The album closes on a dreamlike note with 'Shon', blending angelic tones and IDM-inspired rhythms. Its wistful conclusion feels like the end of an extraordinary journey.
Fargazing is a brilliant debut for Sephirot. Throughout this album, the artist consistently shows their ability to create emotionally moving dub techno. It’s a deeply rewarding listen that invites repeated exploration. The label’s dedication to releasing exceptional music from global talents continues to be a trademark for themselves.

The Frontier 016 - Armin Bender

MOODLER - COLD CHAMBER (SNIPPETS)

MOODLER - METRO PULSE(SNIPPETS)

Recorded at River Sound Festival ( @riversound-lt ) in 2024, where I played the warm-up set before Sebastian Mullaert. ( @sebastianmullaert )

A slow and spacious start to a memorable night in one of Lithuania’s most beautiful festival settings, surrounded by nature.

I’ve had the pleasure of playing River Sound twice, and it remains one of my favourite festivals in the country. I’d gladly return anytime.

15th September sees Amsterdam-based artist Edanticonf release his debut EP for esteemed underground imprint, Curle Recordings, entitled 'The Mind Power'.
Edanticonf's music feels perfectly crafted for the brooding atmospheric venues he so often performs in (always as a live artist too). Both the aforementioned adjectives can be attributed to his style of techno too, one that places the focus less on the technical side and more on the human one, aiming to reflect his emotions and state of being through the hazy soundscapes that draw influence from the natural scenery around him.
His concise back-catalogue features releases on revered labels such as M¦REC LTD, Trolldans, Phorma and Silent Season – the imprint which released his debut LP, 'Forest Echo', in 2012. On each release, Edanticonf's work sonically varies, from the more ambient compositions present on his 'Planet' EP for Silent Season to his dub-infused techno release on Italy's M¦REC LTD, but each offering never compromises on its quality, something which sits at the core of this project.
Kicking off the EP is the title-named track, 'The Mind Power', a hypnotic techno number that blends atmospheric textures and arpeggiated synth patterns with industrial-inducing pad tones, gradually introducing further elements throughout its eight minute duration.
'Interlude' follows, a song that much like the rest of the EP focuses its attention on the refined nuances of the analogue synthesiser, blending this with more delicate synth passages and other shadowy digital effects.
Closing this excellent three-track EP is 'We Dance Together', a dazzling, almost trance-like closer that fuses these soaring atmospheric elements and delicate synths with gritty, lo-fi drums to great effect.
