ollowing remixes on part one from Steve O Sullivan, Rhauder and CV313 we come back just as strong with remixes from Deepchord, Deadbeat and Freunde der Familie. 

First off the cut is Mike s friend, Rod Model, Deepchord. Bringing his signature sound, this remix is hypnotic, deep and encapsulating. Driven by dark percussive rhythms, ghostly vocals invite you to take the journey with Deepchord as he creates a timeless dub techno classic. 

In contrast to Deepchord, Scott Monteith, aka Deadbeat, brings us a jacking club dub techno cut. Swirling, sweeping soundscapes play with the strong bass drum and snappy snare. The Blood & Bones remix is sure to be one for the dancefloors from Melbourne to Berlin. 

Last on the remix duties are our good friends, FDF, with the Downunder Dub. Dark, Dub, Dystopian sounds conjure up feelings of deep emotions, looking inwards for answers to questions put to the dancefloor by FDF. Another timeless classic ensues.

Greyscale's 25th full length album comes from one of our most favorite and longtime label guests. Who else? But, Gradient! All and all, this is his 4th album with us and each album seems to just get better and better. Similar to previous albums, each track is named in numerical order after a word taken from the album's name. While this makes it a bit more difficult to remember which track is which it also leaves everything up to your own imagination. There is no visual to these heavy techno focused tracks. 'Dub Ornaments' establishes 10 tracks of various energy made for dancefloor as well as long late-night drives into darkness. 'Ornament 01' opens up the album and immediately covers you with a warm glow. As chords swell into the picture, you get led to the dancefloor and things just get more addictive from there. '02' gives off serious 90's minimal house vibes with a classy vibe reminiscent of Detroit legends. This is sure to go over great with techno and house fans alike. Part '03' might sound like M7 and M4 combined in some retrospect but you soon forget that as Gradient weaves this addictive balance between sounds to a sick groove. Others like '04' build a continuous techno euphoria. This album has something for everyone. Part '06' is relentless with the chords as Part '07' breathes a more melodic direction. All are hypnotic and minimalistic grooves for late night adventures. The album concludes with the deepest cut on here. A more spacey hi-tech journey where chords get lost in the swell of emotion. What a way to close out this killer CD! The album is a loaded with big sounding dub tracks for different times in the evening. The hardest job will be finding a standout. If you are in favor of hypnotic dub techno where a few key sounds work out a wicked groove, Gradient masters this art. You have found your ideal disk here. Gradient holds nothing back on this one.

Mood Series #74 features another fantastic new artist to the label. Remote Guest List should appeal to all styles of techno fans and not just dub techno. All 4 of the tracks on 'Years of Silence' have plenty of wide range appeal to the lovers of deep club music. Blurring the lines between deep techno and dub, Remote Guest List's inclusion in the Mood Series is nothing short of glorious. 'Red Valerian' initiates the festivities with a wonderful opener that has wide open peaks and equally deep valleys. Once the break relinquishes, the track opens up to be a bit more spacey then cruises off in style proceeding to hypnotic ending. 'Kudrow' focuses more on the melody evolution, providing a euphoric builder of the tech variety. The BPM picks up for this one but it's more geared towards the well establishing groove that forms far from the melodic elements. The resulting depth that gives off a slight house appeal is pure pure genius. Even techier yet, 'Dianetik' marries some moody lower registered church bells over a sick underlying of sickness that has us thinking early sounds of Mathew Jonson. Lastly, Subterranean Intelligence Network goes even more personal with the innermost dub groove. Another great example where the basslines swell, mutate and change throughout the track. Percussion is on the busier side while the beats are low flung giving that sick rubber band tech sound where both sides of the spectrum coexist only properly with a dub realm. 'Years of Silence' is classic in this advanced approach. Released on limited vinyl dubplate as well as digital this is sure to set the clubs on fire.

We are extremely excited to announce our latest Mood Series by ADILR. 'Aerial Cognitions' is the apt name for this Swedish producer's love for wind, air and their every-changing flows through the atmosphere. Inspired by standout purveyors of sound sculpture of the past like Deepchord, Intrusion, Shinsuke Matsumo and Abstract Nostalgic Fractals System, this 3 track EP is a sintilating debut for this artist on Greyscale. 'Little Winds' is a gentle opener that is easy on the senses and is quite relaxing. Like a warm bath, it bathes you in serene warmth and aural sensations. A masterwork of downbeat dub and spacious atmospheric techno. 'Oceans Between, Distant Touch' has a wonderful balance of ominous techy patterns and heady upper airflow. The feeling is an unsure but welcomed flighty adventure through the stratosphere. The melody that peeks out near the end is nothing short of magical as it brings the track to a standing ovation. 'Ray of Light' has you fully emersed in wind patterns as you soar through the interference. A fitting ending to this program as you emerge through busiest track on the EP. A very strong debut from this artist. We are very pleased to release ADILR into the 95th edition of the Mood Series.
