The Mood Series reaches its 145th edition with a warm welcome to Ukrainian producer Toishy Koshimi. Echo Vector is a beautifully balanced six-track journey through modern dub techno. Koshimi blends brisk, techy energy with deep, enveloping atmospheres that balance deep listening yet still being DJ material. Opener 'Voltage Memory' has propulsive rhythms and drifting chords that gather like clouds above a steady, head-nodding pulse. This is prime early-night club material. 'Brume Nocturne' digs deeper, its cavernous textures and melodic softness tempering the pace, building slowly before resolving into a gentle landing. The title track 'Echo Vector' glows warmly, underlined by a deep bass and flowing arrangement that brings introspection as much as movement. On 'Nebelraum', Koshimi crafts a feeling of mysticism, layering dynamic chords over a gradual build that feels almost ritualistic. 'Void Frequency' lightens the mood with airy pads and swirling chord patterns, almost storytelling in their progression yet purposeful. Closing cut 'Fogline' is one of the more assertive moments here as its bolder chord stabs lending weight while still retaining the EP’s deep-listening sensibility. With Echo Vector, Toishy Koshimi proves adept at the classic dub techno balance: hypnotic enough for headphones, yet with the rhythmic push and sonic detail to work in a club setting. It’s an assured debut in the Mood Series tradition, highlighting a strong Ukrainian artist in the global dub techno community.

Greyscale’s Mood Series hits its 146th edition with the return of Italian producer Dib, delivering Quadrans 002, his first release for the label since 2020’s Quadrans 001.1. Known for precision and detail, Dib again demonstrates his knack for meticulously crafted dub techno. 'Opener Quadrans 002.1' eases in with hazy, flowing chords that evoke the gentle distortion of analog radio interference. Beneath, a tight rhythmic framework features a punchy kick and crisp snare that keeps things concise while leaving space for the atmosphere to breathe. 'Quadrans 002.2' ups the tempo subtly, pairing taut beats and clever chord delays with a sense of unease via an eerie melodic thread. This tension eventually dissolves, allowing the groove to stretch out in pure techno flow. On 'Quadrans 002.3', Dib’s chord work turns intricate and hypnotic, pulling focus while the rhythm and textural flow stay in a supportive role. It’s a study in “selective hearing”, encouraging the listener to sink deep into its layered motion. Closing cut 'Quadrans 002.4' arrives with the most assertive chords of the set, each note echoing into the mix alongside metallic percussive reflections. The interplay between the warm harmonic swells and sharp tonal accents gives it a yin-yang energy, a fitting and memorable conclusion. With Quadrans 002, Dib delivers a finesse to these detailed tracks that sink in deep. It’s both a strong continuation of his Quadrans concept and another fine chapter in Greyscale’s global dub techno chronicle.

Vidění is a project in constant search for sounds that create mental, hypnotic, deep and ambient constructions. Inspired by unconventional rhythmic structures in which light, darkness, tension, organic elements and an infinity of emotions coexist.

Columbian-based label, From A Lost Place is no stranger to us here at Delayed. Since 2018 the imprint run by founder, Launaea has been a consistent presence in the ambient, deep and experimental musical worlds that we are so fond of. With past releases including notable names like Zemög, Claudio PRC, Launaea himself, and a few monster compilations, there’s something for everyone in their rich backlog.

Marking a new direction for the label, the latest forthcoming release, titled ‘parasympathetic’ finds us listening to a glittering five tracker by the German artist, YYARD. Bright melodies abound as the label states, ‘perfect definition of the artist's eclecticism, blending groove and jazz influences with very meticulous rhythms, rich and organic percussions perfectly suited for the dance floor’.

'apnoe', the second to final track on the release, takes a darker approach, compared to the emotional highs of, say, Endless Summers. A full-sounding synth lead takes center stage as it grows and grows, while snappy percussion plays throughout, providing that proper groove and infectious movement. Tracks like these are ear worms and proper for a warmup session.

'apnoe', and in turn ‘parasympathetic’ will be released on November 20th.

Our next premiere is from the talented French artist @fookyue with his track 'Midnight Purple'. MP is an exquisite blend of heady hypnotic, and deep techno. Crisp and elegantly programmed, creating vast dreamlands of drifting synths and evolving emotional balance. 

"Following his debut appearance on Aurora Mística’s first compilation One Year, Fook Yue returns to the label with Everything Changes, an hypnotic exploration of techno, ambient, drone and deep electronic textures. His new EP captures the artist’s unique balance between meditative soundscapes and broken-beat rhythms built for introspective dancefloors. Rooted in the spiritual and experimental ethos that defines Aurora Mística Records, Everything Changes unfolds as a journey through evolving sonic layers, immersive drones, deep pulses, and fractured percussion shaping a fluid narrative of transformation. Nicolas’s new solo work is about movement, both internal and external, a reflection of constant flux, where rhythm meets stillness. Another step in Aurora Mística’s ongoing mission to connect mystical sound and electronic dance culture, offering music that resonates equally in clubs and quiet spaces. Night Walk is a collection of pieces born from a moonlit winter walk in the forests of Röstånga, Sweden, during a “Circle of Live – In Bloom” retreat, where the infinite darkness, the sounds and quiet glimmers of light between the trees became the foundation for the album.

Each track explores that atmosphere, translating the sensory experience of the forest into sound. Carefully chosen samples trace the delicate presence of nature — rustling leaves, the faint call of birds — while dub-inflected rhythms pulse beneath, grounding the ethereal textures. Layered vocals drift like echoes through the trees, a human thread woven through rhythm, reverb, and stillness.
