Splintz is a London/Brighton based producer/DJ originally from Hackney. He started using computers to create music when he was just 12, buying Music for the PlayStation and learning it inside out, before finally upgrading to a cracked version of Cubase running on a self-built PC.
He flirts with all the standard sequencers and DAW’s, but currently uses Pro Tools, Reason, a small selection of virtual instruments, and a vast music collection that he regularly samples from.
He began his musical development composing orchestral hip hop beats, that became darker as he got further into his teenage years. This took him into trip hop, dark minimal tech, and finally garage and dubstep, before finally combining all these styles together with his current love of UK funky, and all things deep and tribal.
He is also a very competent drummer, able to play many styles, but specialising in funk, jazz and hip hop.
