Our entry for the remix competition of Dementia's and Rregula's tune "Life On Earth". Unfortunately we didn't have much time for this, since we started very late on this remix. We're not very stasified with this version, we could've made it better (that's probably self-criticism at it's best :) ), but we're very happy, that we got into the "Silver Winners". Thanks for making this competition Dementia & Rregula! And congratulations to all the winners.

Dutch drum & bass imprint Citrus Recordings has been renowned for kick starting the careers of numerous acts in the present day drum & bass scene. After releasing their last LP early 2013 they now push forward an Australian/German combo better known as Rregula & Dementia!

Having made a name for themselves with releases on Icarus Audio, DSCI4 and Full Force they are now properly focused and have been working eagerly on their latest project. This 15 track CD album could very well be the strongest release to date coming from these guys, hence the name ‘Turning Point’.

The full project will be released on two 12’’ pieces of wax and a CD. For the second 12’’ three heavyweights put their mark on the ‘Turning Point’ project creating a pair of superb remixes. Using the original version of ‘Timeline’ Optiv & BTK flip the track into a hefty stepper with a killer build up that can’t be ignored. This one is bound to inflict damage on the dancefloor!

here is a recording from Memorial Day 2013, I played a little set for Delano and his radio show on Bassdrive. It's not typical to a club set I would play but still filled to the rim with proper heavy tunes :) also some sloppy mixes, but they ride out for a while. at least you will hear when a tune comes in haha. &#13;

A true pioneer of the Drum and Bass sound, Gridlok remains one of the most highly regarded artists in the industry. With a discography spanning over a two decades and featuring classics such as ‘Moodswings’, ‘Bottomfeeder’, and ‘Standing Room Only’, it’s little wonder that the Gridlok name has become synonymous with timeless Drum and Bass.

Involved with music from an early age, Ryan Powell aka Gridlok picked up a variety of instruments, but it was after experimenting with a cheap radio shack microphone paired with a 4-track tape recorder that he soon found himself in the murky world of production. Now with the use of a computer and an E-mu sampler along with an ever-changing combination of analogue gear and production techniques, this West Coast producer has led by example, constantly exploring new ways of injecting emotion and attitude into his art. 

The grimy uncompromising style that Gridlok has developed forms the foundation for his glittering career, gaining him the attention of his peers with household names such as Shy FX, Pendulum, and Dom and Roland lining up to work with the American producer. Acknowledged by artists in and out of Drum and Bass, Gridlok has put his spin on other genres, remixing for the likes of electronica giant Josh Wink and house legend Sasha. Gridlok’s original music and remixes have also branched into other media, with his work appearing in titles such as Konami’s Dance Dance Revolution and MTV’s Challenge series. Covering a wide spectrum within Drum and Bass, Gridlok’s versatile production has allowed him to release on a diverse range of labels, spanning from Ram Records and Playaz to Commercial Suicide and Moving Shadow, whilst maintaining his signature sound....
