my first vinyl set in some 4 year :)
Twas my last as resident of the city of LA, 
my home base my entire dj career :)
And perhaps yet even more topical...
It was the 20-Year Anniversary of Tropical!
So you see it was a special mix!
All music is from 95 to 2006.
Great tracks sure are timeless!
To ignore them would be spineless
So in this particular musical trip
Expect some pops, scratches and skips
these were favorite tracks back in the day - 
And that means they got heavy play!

Opening for DJ Dan at Monarch for the first Opel party of 2019.  As is(well, should be) well known, an opening set requires more thought and subtlety than just playing prime time bangers, which is a lot easier to pull off.  With a HOUSE legend after me, naturally I had to rock a house vibe, complete with an obligatory track with some dude whispering "House Music..." on it.   Monarch was packed and the vibe was happy and throbbing.  Every track but the last one I had never played out, was brand new (to me) so I was kinda flying blind, but that's part of the fun.  It's not perfect (I don't use the sync button), but I hope you dig it.
