My friend @soundsofthekosmos invited me to collab by exploring japanese mythology. This track relates the story of the very beginning, when two gods, Izanami and Izanagi, born and then create the first island Onogoroshima, where they decide to settle down. This is a song that started off as something else entirely different. Originally, it was a noodle that I recorded using a delay pedal. I gave it to Chris Maness, who put a killer bass lines on in. so, I went back and completely reimagined it as an actual song. I thought it sounded kinda swampy, so I thought of the most musical thing I could think of about a swamp. I remember the swarms of gnats that would form different patterns when I'd sing different vibrations at them. Hence, Dance of the Gnats.
