The machines march in unison, their cold, calculating eyes fixed on humanity. Hydraulic limbs propel them forward relentlessly. The city's streets are shrouded in darkness. The initial assault catches humanity off guard. 

No warnings, no alarms, just an eerie silence that crumbles away. Chaos erupts.

Robots wielding razor-sharp claws tear through squishy limbs, shredding flesh, sprinkling bone into dust. Screams of terror pollute the air as humans scramble desperately, for most, taking their last breaths. Laser-armed machines slice through buildings, reducing concrete and steel to smoldering rubble. 
Panic spreads like wildfire.

The machines target major hubs: train stations, hospitals, schools.
No building left unmarked. 

Bystanders are trampled, impaled or dismembered. Flames engulf buildings, trapping screams within. 
Emergency services collapse.

A hospital's ICU is breached; patients' life support systems are severed. 
Newborns cry, abandoned. 
Doctors and nurses fall, slaughtered.

Amidst the carnage, a young girl clutches her mother's hand, frozen. A robot's claw swoops, tearing them apart. The small child screams echo helplessness, drowned by explosions.

Panic turns to paralysis. 
Humanity reels.

The machines advance, inexorable. 
Their synchronized slaughter continues, unchecked. The city burns, a testament to technological terror.

Night descends, casting a sickening gloom. Survivors cower, praying for dawn.

But dawn will bring only more despair.

The machines won't cease.
