‘State of Dystopia’ is a melodic metal band from the heart of Northern Savonia, Finland. The band originates from the city of Kuopio but has few members also from Iisalmi. Each member of the band has different and diverse musical tastes which are accounted and combined uniquely in band’s music.

The band was originally formed almost a decade ago by a group of friends sharing similar musical interests. At that point, the band was focused only on playing cover songs from various artists and resembles only vaguely the band it has become today. Over the years, the band started to incrementally write own material and look for its own unique sound. Due to several line-up changes at the same time, this process was, however, relatively slow. In late 2012, the final instrumental line-up was formed and active rehearsal of the songs began. Finally in 2014, the current vocalist joined and perfected the line-up of the band now known as ‘State of Dystopia’.

Progressive metal/rock band from Leighton Buzzard (very vaguely North London) consisting of instrumentalists Joe and Mikey with Rhian on lead vocals. Mixing strong melody, dark atmosphere and heavy rhythms "Oraton" was formed in 2012 by guitarist Joe, later to be joined by drummer Mikey and lastly the finishing touch the band needed with female vocalist Rhian, who first sang for the band in the summer of 2013.

An brazilian prog/modern metal band was created in 2010 in the city of Porto Alegre, in Rio Grande do Sul. Formed by Gui Acauan (Vocals), Brunno Tripovichy (Guitar and Vocals), Keith Eberhardt (Guitar), Lucas "White" Schwartz (Bass and vocals) and Michel Fuhr (drums), the band originaly had released four singles which received positive reviews on the website of Roadrunner Records and also got a good reception at the band's official channel on YouTube.

The band name, by itself, doesn't have a specific meaning. The choice is due to the fact the word "Grimriot" is strong and expressive, which consolidates the intention of the quintet, which is the freedom of expression and freedom music without labels.

Influenced by post-grunge, metalcore, hard rock and prog metal, the band wants to bring a new kind of music to nowadays heavy metal scenario. At the moment, the group is working on a full-lenght album and have signed with the label Raptors Music from England.

I love 80s music, especially AOR, Melodic Hard Rock, Glam Metal, New Wave, Synth Pop, and Synth Wave. This page is a mix of various musical projects I’ve done over the years and a good representation of my progress learning to record and mix myself.
