Award-winning guy/composer with a command over many genres, THIS MAN is Heavily influenced by video game and film music and has recently taken a dive into video game orchestral and jazz fusion arrangements. Dr. Micah Salkind is the Director of Civic and Cultural Life at the Rhode Island Foundation. Prior, in his roles as Deputy Director and Special Projects Manager at the City of Providence Department of Art, Culture and Tourism he managed large grants and strategic artist initiatives for the City, collaborating with the Creative Capital’s largest non-profit cultural institutions as well as its emerging artists, designers, and creative entrepreneurs. He also sings with Collegium Ancora, throws quarterly Dollar Disco parties as one half of Micah Jackson, and is an ongoing collaborator with dancers and scholars in Chicago’s Honey Pot Performance collective. A DJ, sound designer, and curator, Salkind is the author of Do You Remember House? Chicago’s Queer of Color Undergrounds (Oxford University Press).
