Growing up surrounded by poverty.gang violence and a drug filled neighborhood on the South side of Chicago, J.Y.E found solace and expression in the art of rap at an early age. Influenced by the raw storytelling of legends like Snoop Dogg, NWA, Nas, 2 Pac and many others and the innovative beats of producers like Dr Dre, he honed his craft, mastering the intricacies of wordplay and flow.

After a death of a close friend, J.Y.E took a break from music to mourn and focus on family. Creating a fashion brand called "A.W.T.K. Club and perfecting his craft as an Artist and Graphic artist kept J.Y.E busy over the years. Now after years of touching a mic,he looks to deliver "Divine Music" in his own words.
