Grindin' reissues Dialectrix's "Satellite" EP this time including the exclusive bonus cut of "What Is This World Coming To?" Remix featuring Essa from the UK and Jamall Bufford from the US on the digital download. 

First released in February 2013 each track showcased an overseas producer while Dtrix exhibited the hunger and versatility the Sydney wordsmith is known for. 

"Stop" brings a barrage of braggadocio-battle raps intertwined with self assured ridiculousness that screams of live rowdiness over a smacking beat from Germany's Suff Daddy with the additional finesse of one of Australia's greatest turntablists DJ Bonez on the cut. Dialectrix shows an introspective view to his inner thoughts on the smooth and esoteric "Enjoy The Music" featuring the UK's shining producer Eric Lau with fellow Blue Mountains brethren DJ Morgs of the Thundamentals appearing for a cameo scratch. 

Dialectrix then goes in with a vicious delivery and a no holds barred attitude over former Scratch Pervert Mr Thing's (UK) gigantic "What Is This World Coming To?". From the media/social systems to his vehement disappointment in the music industry and the world in general, he leaves no stone unturned as to who and what are ruining the world around him. "Sydney Psychosis" is a tainted homage to the city over a rolling, hypnotic beat supplied courtesy of New Zealand's Haz Beats of the notorious Home Brew Crew with cuts executed by the world renowned DJ Revolution. 

The title track "Satellite" is spearheaded by one of LA's finest beatsmiths Exile delivering his classic soulful chops as Dtrix alikens his position in the world to a satellite bunker with music being his main source to communicate abroad. The "Satellite" EP is a unique one off approach to mustering an eclectic and foreign soundscape while remaining underpinned with Dialectrix's familiar and technical flow.

"The Cold Light of Day" is the title of Dialectrix’s new album. Like "Audio Projectile" before it, the production is entirely handled by Plutonic Lab, and the cuts by DJ 2Buck.

A vernacular acrobat, Dialectrix combines rhythmic precision and variety, with content spawned from cathartic necessity. The album showcases his renowned technical skill and polish, and will undoubtedly reinforce his reputation as one of the best in the business.

The triad of skilled musicians set the release apart. All meticulous, almost slaves to perfection; the trio have found a remarkable wavelength based around shared standards. The result: a transcendent album, which pushes the boundaries of genre convention with purpose and conscientiousness.

“Sonically The Cold Light of Day sits alone as being musically diverse, while being rigorously grounded in the settings of traditional Hip Hop.” – Dialectrix

Still faithful to their roots, Plutonic Lab and Dialectrix have built on the foundations of traditional hip hop, revolutionising the genre by incorporating live instrumentation and electronic elements. DJ 2Buck’s selection of premium cuts always consummately timed, give the album character and scope.

Vocal guests on the include the legendary Def Wish, P-Smurf (Big Village), Chip Fu, Momo (Diafrix), and a verse from the dexterous 2Buck.

The LP’s main points of difference are the varied themes Dialectrix explores, and Plutonic Lab’s custom-made soundtrack.

In the track ‘Fire in the Blood’, there is no ignoring Dialectrix’s raw emotion as he wrestles with nature vs. nurture. He relays his deepest fear; passing alcoholism and violence onto his son. Written in an extremely tumultuous period of his life, he has labelled ‘Fire in the Blood’ “the most raw and honest track I’ve ever made”. Plutonic sets a melancholy scene with haunting vocals, and angry beats.

‘Take Flight’ is a laid-back, vibing number inspired by Dialectrix’s travels around Australia. His lyrics reflect on the beauty he has encountered in the places he’s been, and people he’s met, but also the inherent guilt he feels about enjoying a place which was stolen from its original people. Lounge piano, subtle strings and synth nuances give the track a cruising feel, complete with an airport announcement introduction.

Opening track ‘Shadow in the Light’, is one of Dialectrix’s favourites from the record for its eclectic song structure and next level production. Plutonic Lab brings his explosive percussion skills to the forefront and fuses them with syncopated synth sounds, creating a kind of sonic exclamation mark.

The Cold Light of Day is a quality display of true skill and passion. It is safe to say the future of hip hop is safe in the hands of Dialectrix, Plutonic Lab and DJ 2Buck.

Grindin’ is based in Sydney Australia and was established with the aim of releasing, touring and managing quality Australian and International artists. This is reflected in the diversity of artists affiliated with the company and its eclectic style of events produced in Australia.

Since its inception in 2001 Grindin’ has released music from across the globe with a variety of musical styles, all representing the brand to its fullest, and as a result has led to a variety of releases from artists including P-Money (NZ), KillaQueenz (Australia), M-Phazes (Australia), Mystro (UK), J Period (USA), Kohndo (France), JR & PH7 (Germany) and Muneshine (Canada) to name a few. The Grindin’ catalogue has now built up to over 35 releases as of 2010.

Grindin’ is also responsible for producing some of Sydney’s finest Hip Hop events from the annual J Dilla tribute night ‘The Genius Of J Dilla’ to touring the likes of Just Blaze, Blu & Exile (USA), Jehst (UK), DJ MK (Dizzee Rascal’s / Roots Manuva’s DJ) and many more, while also overseeing DJ bookings at venues across Sydney and holding monthly events throughout NSW.

Most recently Grindin’ has ventured into artist agency services, developing careers and booking shows, which has already seen many acts performing at the biggest clubs, tours and festivals throughout Australia and New Zealand. Grindin’ currently manages the careers for some of Australia’s best Hip Hop artists including Dialectrix, Sky’High, Chasm, The Tongue, Diafrix and more.

Throughout the years Grindin’ has also worked with companies such as Nike, Sony, MTV, Alize, Central Station Records and Sweat It Out, along with venues across Sydney using its expertise to consult on individual projects while also helping bridge the gap between corporate entities and its potential clientele. Grindin’ has built a solid reputation on being able to deliver within the music industry.
