After the success of the first A-sides compilation in 2012, Adam Beyer has decided its time to release another. With Adam’s stature steadily growing as one of the leading talents in the Techno scene and the rise of Drumcode, the standard of demo’s that have been sent to Adam have been top notch. Adam has now decided to release two compilations with 10 tracks each, consisting of tracks that Adam has tried and tested. There are also new artists that have been invited to release on Drumcode for this compilation and others who are a staple in Drumcode’s core family. Combining both old and new talents Drumcode have come up with something unique and distinctive to make this two-part compilation something extra special.

For over five years Gary Beck has been releasing and remixing music on a variety of labels including Soma, Saved, Electric Deluxe and Drumcode as well as via his own - Bek Audio, which was established in August 2009. Bombarding audiences with his signature sound and consistently monstrous records, such as the “Enough Talk”, “Get Down” and “Say What”, have earned him recognition as one of the industry’s most prolific and creative producers in today’s electronic music scene.

Recently Gary has been revisiting his techno roots, working with Speedy J for the release of his ‘Egoist EP’ (released through Speedy J’s Electric Deluxe label). The two artists are also set to release their collaborative track ‘Vaag’ through Bek Audio on June 20th this year. Gary remixed the Pig & Dan track ‘Deliverance’ for Cocoon Recordings’ Eleven Years Cocoon Recordings release and has also licensed his own track ‘Hands in Mine’ to be used by scene veteran Pete Tong who used it in his “Future Underground” dual album with Riva Starr.

“Diva” is as tongue-in-cheek as it is energetic and exciting. It eases in gently with a smooth bass riff and systematic kick before gradually building up with a wall of vocal delays, exploding in to the main body of the track. Offsetting rhythms between vocal samples and percussive instruments gives the track extra substance while the pulsing bass line, colossal toms and driving snare keeps the track flowing. Diva is abundant with Gary’s unique and recognisable twisted vibes that his audience has become well accustomed to.

The years disappeared within loneliness. to manage staying alive I keep my visions to myself. You were once my friend, a sinister.

The ”Sinister” composition was written by Pär Grindvik during 2009 and 2010.
Writing ”Sinister” was part of a healing process. The original ”Sinister” was never meant to be released - and it will probably never be. However, in 2010 Pär came up with the idea of handing out parts from the original, to a few of his friends, and to release different interpretations derived from these parts. The new interpretations would mark the beginning of a new label project called ”Sinister”.

Tiefschwarz are back again on Watergate with a dub version and three stellar remixes of 'Free Falling feat. Khan' from their recent and highly acclaimed album 'Left'. 

Kicking things off is Skream and he takes the original to new heights in true Skream fashion with vivid arpeggios and silky vocals laid over reverb heavy snares and driving percussion ideal for the more climactic dance floor scenarios.

Up next is a man who needs no introduction: Acid Pauli. Already a legend in his own right, we last saw him on Watergate on the Peahen EP with MyMy and Lee Jones back in 2010 and now he's back with not one, but two incredible remixes. Both his 'Cloudbuster and Clouddiver Remix' are lush displays of melodic, yet driving takes on the original. Warm pads and pulsing bass create a swirling melodic journey on both with 'Cloudbuster' being the more pumping and 'Clouddiver' taking the deeper route giving you two foolproof options. 

Wrapping things up is Tiefschwarz' own dub version of 'Free Falling feat Khan' and with it they deliver a stripped down take of the original, yet keeping just a touch of the low slung, sleek vocals to make sure it still has the quintessential Tiefschwarz feel. Enjoy!

Pär Grindvik has been a central figure in the Swedish electronic scene since the 90s as record store owner, label manager and producer. In his artistic career Pär has released music across a plethora of acclaimed electronic labels, including a string of hits on his own Stockholm LTD imprint as well as Drumcode, with frequent collaborator Hardcell. Pär’s recent output has seen him contribute music to labels such as Semantica, Marbacka, Sinister and Dystopian.

Founded in 2002, Stockholm LTD began as an outlet for singles and EPs from Swedish artists with a focus on releasing timeless electronic music. It has since developed into a hallmark for finely crafted electronic music from a range of international artists.

Over the past two decades Pär’s involvement with the electronic music community has branched out across the globe. Openly passionate about supporting underground talent, Pär works closely with an ever-expanding repertoire of labels and artists.

As a DJ Pär tours the world, transporting his deft and uniquely dynamic DJ sets to techno fans internationally and on a weekly basis. His worldwide popularity as a performer stems not only from his skill and versatility but also as a result of the energy he puts into every performance. It's this combination that enables him to bring the heat to the best clubs in the world.

Pär continues to serve as one of the most exciting and hardworking contributors to the scene.  Every inch of Pär’s work, including labels, artwork, release info and music, is wrapped with heart and emotion, a quality which keeps the sparkle and curiosity alive within the ever changing adaptations of the artistic world.
