Alongside Benjamin John Power they have released 3 albums on ATP Recordings, headlined the Park stage at Glastonbury and featured in the London Olympic ceremony. Andrew has since released Rave Cave earlier this year with Rave Cave 2 coming out in November. With music from Mr Fingers, Drexciya, James Holden, DJ krush and Digital Underground in his mix, he had these words to say;
"I tried to create a cohesive mood with this mix whilst traversing the patterns of my taste (which is probably why there’s a few of my own tracks in there acting as milestones for me). Celebrating the 20 year anniversary of Overcast, the full album is remastered and available on vinyl for the first time!

20 years ago, while building a buzz on the Twin Cities scene playing countless local shows, recording demos and endless freestyle sessions, Atmosphere released a milestone record that set the trajectory for a career that is still evolving and pushing forward to this day.

In the late 90's, for a brand new independent label, pressing a vinyl LP was an expensive venture. At the time, the focus of the young entrepreneurs was set more on expanding the foundation they had built in Minneapolis, so they invested their time and money into networking nationally by doing shows, MC/DJ battles, and sometimes traveling from coast to coast just to give CDs away, all in order to grow the fanbase. As a result of an ambitious plan gone right, Overcast will now, finally, see its way onto vinyl!

For this special 20-year anniversary vinyl edition, all the original recording sessions were transferred from the reel-to-reel tapes and mixed especially for vinyl by Joe Mabbot, long-time engineer for Atmosphere, dating back to God Loves Ugly. The album is pressed on triple white color vinyl and packaged in a custom built case-wrapped and debossed jacket, and includes three previously unreleased songs from the original reel-to-reel tapes!

The Canadian producer has built an impressive discography in recent years with a consistent stream of quality releases via labels such as Clone’s Royal Oak imprint, Spring Theory, and Lone’s Magicwire. His mix for Solid Steel features tracks from DJ Tonka, Mysterious People, Revlux and Beatrice Dillon & Call Super on Hessle Audio. He told us;
"Recorded with an XDJ 700 on the left and a SL-1200 MK2 on the right, through a DJM-400. I’ve been spending a lot of time at home lately, so I wanted to reflect that through tunes I’ve been listening to and making on the daily. "
