Que Sakamoto is a DJ and producer who has become Japan’s latest export to the world. From his deep roots in the Tokyo underground, he finds himself outside Japan most of the year on his relentless tours of Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas.

Didgeridoo trance, videogame vibes, vicious jungle, and proper dirty boner electronica await LAYEREd in his two-hour selection for WPD. 

From Que’s first international booking in 2014 by 65MQ in Milan, Italy arose a series of invitations around Europe. Neil Diablo invited him to the U.K. where he played with Craig Richards, Fabric resident, and Dave Harvey, Future Boogie. Then an invitation from Harry James, Snap Crackle & Pop (SC&P), to play the Waiting Room with Brézier, Ivan Smagghe and Rupert Cross. From the U.K. invitations led to Belgium, France, Turkey, Lithuania and a tour-of-sorts across Europe was born.

Lithuania plays a pivotal role in Que Sakamoto’s DJ career. Especially his connection to Club Opium and Manfredas who hammered in a wooden signpost with Que Sakamoto’s name on it in 2020, two years after his mythical set at the Ant Bangos festival in 2018 at the Port of Nida, which sky-rocketed his career as an emerging artist. At this festival he met Joakim who introduced him to New York City where he played many gigs like the Good Room and also did a radio show for Tim Sweeney on Beats In Space.

Berlin-based electronic collective Patterns of Perception announces the launch of its record label, with the first release from Australian DJ and producer Nali. 

Formed in Berlin in 2016, Patterns of Perception is the coming together of six friends with one shared vision: to cultivate compelling, visionary electronic music. Starting with residencies at Berlin institutions OHM and ://about blank, the collective’s work has expanded to include a widely followed mix series and online magazine.

Nali’s sound has been honed through years of work as both a DJ and producer in his hometown of Melbourne, from which he has released on labels Steeplejack, Pure Space and B2H and performed at festivals including the illustrious Strawberry Fields, while also performing live alongside Peter van Hoesen at Pattern of Perception’s own party at OHM Berlin.

His Chance Encounters EP features spacious, intricate grooves that dance and parry with luxuriant synths and infectious, acid-tinged basslines. The release was mastered in Berlin by Patterns of Perception co-founder Andreas Maan, with artwork by fellow co-founder Ray Pham. A label launch party is slated for November 20 at ://about blank.

PTN01 will be available in record stores and digitally on November 15.

In 2020-2021 duo released two records with I Lost My Poncho In Istanbul records and with Pleasure Express records. Since covid club blockade is finally off, Moisk started to explore more an area of uptempo techno and trance. In 2022 guys are planning to release some of new music via Warning records.

Let's continue together this musical adventure that has been going on for eight years now!

Indeed, the first opus was released on June 1st, 2015, from a deep desire to support a pioneering and adventurous electronic music; without exhaustive stylistic limits, and which wanted to be at the same time experimental, deep, mixed and sincere.

It then became obvious that it was necessary to reveal a music that would have as its only contours the inherent musical originality of each of these artists, regardless of their age, origin, orientation, experience, nationality, genre, recognition...

Twenty six releases later, and despite many difficult moments, loneliness, variable echoes, tensions, doubts, the label still exists, and resists ephemeral fashions, in a discreet niche of enthusiasts from all over the world! It is therefore essential to thank you all today for having supported in one way or another this slightly crazy, human and fragile project, carried only by the love and passion of music.

In order to celebrate this new step of the label, it is time to present our new release ACCENTLP005, signed by one of the key producers (both in the structural sense of the project, but also as a Light) our dear and beloved Gëinst! He alone is one of the reasons why this structure still exists, because each time I discovered his new tracks, I had so many emotions, that it was impossible not to react, to be silent in front of this pure and rare beauty. It is therefore normal and logical to release his first long format of six tracks, with solar and esoteric accents, where groove trance and deep techno flirt with softness, luminous and subtle, where finesse and elegance intertwine with relentless rhythms of strength and dynamism, Evangelion LP is an ode to joy, freedom and love!

This album is a testimony to the strength of music, freed from the canons, rid of authoritative figures that have become monotonous and too conventional, become hybrid, fresh and above all FREE. <3

Cate Hortl's sound can't be pigeonholed. Having previously shared music under two projects Ambeyance & October Lieber, she's been refining her output as Cate Hortl for the last couple of years - sometimes it'll move your body and at others it'll urge you to look inwards.

Straddling shades of light and dark, her releases for labels like Astropolis Records, Ritmo Fatale and WARRIORECORDS pairs her love of 80's inspired sounds, like EBM and darkwave, with contemporary club rhythms and electronic sounds. 

Her latest release comes in the form of a remix for Justine Forever's new EP 'Out Of The Blue', on our sub-label Human Endeavour - adding cold-wave tinged synths and dark pop sensibilities into the mix. Recently she also became a resident of Rinse FM (UK). 

Noirnor’s eclectic taste and boundless curiosity led her to explore a plethora of music styles, from the infectious grooves of house and breakbeat to the hypnotic rhythms of electro, tech house, techno and the undeniable energy of bassline. Her sets tell stories and express energy, featuring a deep, soulful, and mental sound that captivates listeners.
