When it comes to Bass house in Mozambique, LOKH is a name that doesn’t often escape the tongue. Known for his creativity with bass lines and mysterious, halloween-esque melodies, his music brings out that dark vibe that keeps you bouncing.
Inspired by pretty much everything he listens to, he tries to integrate it into his sound as best possible.
Anil Catamo, or LOKH, started producing around 2014 and has been a big fan of electronic music for a long time.
This set is authorial, and is filled from head to toe with crazy bangers and well, bass house!

You’re sitting around the campfire with your family, roasting marshmallows and peacefully reminiscing over your childhood. The familiar comforting scent of toasting sugar and burning twigs fills the air, laughter and bad dad jokes float across the wind as you feel the heat of the flames begin to warm your face…

Then BOOM, reality check! You open your eyes – you’re not on vacation, you’re in your room. Why can you still smell flames?! You glance over at your playlist and it all starts to make sense. You put that damn Box Of Trax compilation on again. From Steamed Hams to Aurora Borealis, this thing just won’t quit (we don’t even know what that means, but we like it)!!

Kicking things off with ‘My Body’, Gettoblaster & Devon James lock you into that ghetto booty techno right from the first second. Taking a groovy jump over to fantastic funk-land we’re met with LEFTI & N2N’s 'Do The Thing'. Believe us when we tell you that this has been popping on the streaming front like nuclear Rice Krispies on pogo sticks. 

Then sliding down the slopes of Whistler we welcome Case Of The Mondays back to Box of Cats with a tech house jam.

Closing out this AAA pack is our Italian friend Lozz who gifted us with not just the news of his first born but some of the most sophisticated bass house we’ve heard since 1988. The final lick of heat on this campfire smorgasbord comes courtesy of Broken Bass, hailing from the great Mozambique and bringing just enough chunked up drums and popping bass to finish up what is another huge BOT.

So check your fire alarms and visualise your escape route before you burn your house down, because we can’t promise you’ll be safe once you hit play on this one…
