Leicester-based duo Murphy’s Law collaborate with London producer Guy Mac for ‘PASSION’, a bouncy DFTD release set to do major club damage. Comprised of brothers Sonny and Finn Murphy, Murphy’s Law have spent over a decade refining their eclectic, groovy mix of house, techno and soul, earning them support from major tastemakers Jamie Jones and Joseph Capriati and extensive airplay on BBC Radio 1. "This amazing mid tempo Golden Disco classic was originally released back in 1982 on the New Yorks Moonglow record label. Originally Produced by Greg Carmichael and written by one of the best writing teams of their time, James Calloway, Sonny T Davenport & the legendary Leroy Burgess. In 1988 Leroy was commissioned by Bobby & Steve’s Zoo Experience Records to do a 6 track mini album, with Barley Breaking Even (BBE) being reproduced and re –vocaled by Leroy and Orange Juice Jones man, Tyrone Williams. With the Disco sound still very much at the forefront of today’s club scene.

Groove Odyssey’s Michael Hughes commissioned Opolopo to bring BBE back to the dance floor and what a job he has done. Keeping many of the original BBE elements, Opolopo has signed, sealed and delivered a dance floor classic for the old and the new generation to embrace. "Last year when searching though the Salsoul archive Dave Lee came across a Leroy Burgess tape which contained a song called “One + One” that he didn't recognise the title of. On the off chance, it could be something interesting Dave got the tape digitised when he heard it quickly realised this wasn’t some outtake but a killer tune. He contacted Mr Burgess to ask him if he knew why this song had never been released, Leroy was overjoyed when he heard that “One + One” had been unearthed after 35 years of going missing. It turned out that it was recorded in the same sessions as Leroy’s classic “Heartbreaker” for an album that never came out but the tape had somehow been lost and he’d given up hope of it ever being located. “One + One” is Leroy on top form in his prime with the full team of New York musicians who featured on many of his classics (Jocelyn Brown, Melissa Morgan, Stan Lucas, Sonny Davenport, James Calloway). Mr Lee has given the song 3 brand new mixes, a full vocal, Dub and reprise. If you’re Burgess fan this is essential as it gets.”
