After setting the tone with two originals and one remix with us back in 2020, Berlin-based producer Fabian Krooss returns this year with his debut solo sortie, 'Planet D'. A nod to the ecological nonsense that envisages salute in departing our beloved 'Planet A' for other celestial bodies to tear down - such as a fictional 'Planet D', the EP runs the gamut from minimalistic club grooves to blissed-out tropical chuggers, via further atmospheric excursions. 

Whilst 'Time To Act' serves up a dynamic symphony of FX-laden elements joining forces to fight off anxiety for our future, Theo Meiers revamp takes the track into further functional club territory with clinical poise. The even lusher 'Night Owl' reels out as an ode to nature and its healing powers, bringing forth a vibrant mix of bassy power and refined, balearic-informed ambient scapes, whereas Midas 104s version injects just the right amount of bounce and jazz into its hypnotic folds. 'Watatata', a collaboration with Jacob Stille, smoothly takes you on the other side with an innovative and playful touch and 'Twisted Mind' simply rounds it all up with an intergalactic bang.

Channeling earthly energies with a strongly poetic power of evocation, 'Planet D' is an invitation to refocus, carried by the hope of fuelling a new, sustainable vision for tomorrow.

The Gardens of Babylon is a growing international brand based in Amsterdam who specialise in full experience events that combine music, spirituality, and visual effects worldwide. Launching the label in 2019, they have quickly cemented their position as a quality purveyor of House music. 

Omri Guetta is a leading Israeli DJ/producer who over the last 15 years has built an amazing back catalogue. Named #1 Underground DJ in 2017 at the Tel Aviv Music Awards, his magical sound is soaked in emotion and his label Frau Blau continues to impress. Fellow Israeli, Omer Tayar, has an equally impressive career in music. The guitarist and DJ-producer has been showcasing his exquisite, diverse music selection at the leading venues in Tel Aviv and beyond. Additionally, he has been spearheading the music production department at the highly respected music school Rimon. The two recently joined forces for an endless number of upcoming releases and an exciting live project.

Opening the EP with delicate melodics and sparse percussion, ‘Ever So’ begins its journey with class and style. Building in intensity over the mid-section, the main break provides a moment’s rest before spiky synths drive the final section home hard. ‘Trip In’ is a deeper excursion. Hollow pads and percussive FX keep the groove deep and attention grabbing. Mutating main lines cause an explosion of interest midway and become delightfully musical. 

On remix duties, German DJ extraordinaire and Younion boss, Re.You takes ‘Ever So’ down a darker percussive path, focusing on the emotional side drawing out the tension with clever sound design, while Portuguese artist, Xinobi, adds his substantial studio skill to ‘Trip In’ making it even deeper and melodically rich.

Launching the label in 2019, they have quickly cemented their position as a quality purveyor of House music. After two years without an ADE, last month they welcomed back their weekender event, ‘The Seekers Of Light’ and it was a huge success with a whole host of label artists gracing the stage once again in front of a more than excited crowd.

Next up on the release schedule are NY based brothers Corey and Ryan who form Wild Dark, along with Ariaano (1/2 of Anjunadeep mainstays 16BL and a member of the Dutch Electronic trio, Cubicolor) With releases on label including Flying Circus, Do Not Sit, Anjunadeep and Akbal Music their productions are dancefloor oriented, but are also very suited for those sunrise, sunset moments with more emotive and soulful melodies.

Opening with ‘The Instruments’ shuffling percussion and soft sonics compliment deep, rounded kicks. More melodic aside’s midway signal the arrival of warm analogue bass notes and vocal ad libs. Gaining pace, pads and keys add tension, reaching a dramatic and satisfying conclusion. ‘The Delay is Back’ begins with an insistent woodblock groove and one-note pad. Spiky FX nuance and clever percussion allow the minimal vibe to breathe until chants spark the track into life with some exciting drum work.'

Theo Meier is a Vienna based producer and DJ who is next up on Poesie Musik with a new two track EP. It comes after years of releasing on Traum Schallplatten’s infamous Tour de Traum, Get Physical, Stil Vor Talent & Monaberry, and is another broad showcase of his skills.

Piper brings a bright and melodic vibe with lush keys up top, wavy drums down low, and plenty of cosmic energy.

Darko is then a deep and shadowy tune with melancholic chords and wavy bass that locks you in deep. It is subtle and stylish as it unfolds, and makes for a classy listen.

This is another fine outing from the Poesie Musik label.
