'House and techno lovers have a great excuse to update their playlists. The worldwide known producer GetCosy publishes EP on a Belgian/French label Bunkaball records with authentic sound, which will have 4 tracks. On the one hand, it is an energetic and impulsive house action movie, on the other hand, it is a pulsating and hypnotizing techno saga.
 
'I would like this work to be able to reflect both the biting groove, the fiery rhythm, and the dark side of my production, in which I reflect my sympathy for the techno sound' - the musician explained. In the general palette of this EP, there is a tribute to the classic ghetto-house, you can also hear modular sections in the compositions, among other things, the artist skillfully used old-school samples from the classics of memphis hip-hop. As a result, we got a powerful cocktail from different genre directions, but how elegant and how harmonious this mixture turned out - you can appreciate it.

It's a great honor to work with Don Rimini and be part of the Bunkaball family, earlier I bought almost every album on this label, and then I dreamed of being part of this formation, and after a while, with the help of Reginald, I managed to get to know Don Rimini, for which I am very grateful to fate. His music can be heard at big festivals such as Detroit Movement, HARD Summer Festival, ADE and radio stations such as BBC1, Kiss FM, Brut, Relief Radio. One of the tracks was also licensed by Claude Vonstroke to the Detroit Movement anniversary mix. He has established himself as a specialist in delivering powerful dance floor weapons. The style and presentation of the musician is easily recognizable and well remembered.
 
'Terminal' is a track that keeps rolling bouncing and moving like a freight train. The wonky synth melody pulls the mind in every which way but loose to make this juggernaut drum line take control of your mind and body like a puppet. Premiere: Josh Wink & Truncate - Be Aware [Ovum Recordings]

After years of thumpers and bumpers on labels such as Twirl, Love Child and Instant Replay, the erstwhile Go-Go dancer and Amsterdam club legend Lupe sashays in from the left and slam dunks us with unholy acid house thunderstorms. 'Only Sinners Survive'

His Pets debut is pounding late night tackle that sounds future-proof today but would have fit perfectly at any stage since the acid revolution. The title track is inspired, as is the whole EP, by magical TV drama consumed during lockdown; takes us straight across the leftfield with an electroclash style fusion of juggernaut acid and stark lyricism that reminds us that perfection is a delusion.

Deeper into the night we strut to strike deep mix gold on 'Den Of Iniquity' as a Lupe makes the drums sing in a slamming, Q&A style hook that will fit over any other track and wind the dancers up with its addictive and mischievous mutations. Finally we have 'Binge Dancer'. The biggest slammer of the EP, once again we're sent into a spin with broadsheet acid and the type of rattling, insistent percussion that ensures plenty of bingeing.

Poker Flat Recordings drops three new heaters from Reset Robot - the alter ego of UK producer, engineer and DJ Dave Robertson. 
The Portsmouth-based artist has thrilled some of the world's biggest clubs, and released on the hugely influential Drumcode, Mobilee, Hotflush and his own Whistleblower Records.

His new EP Tired Voice dials into his signature brooding sound, but also finds some new unexplored nuances.  

“The title track was written after I got my Moog Matriarch. The main synth line and bass were both done on that and I love how they sound.  It can be quite inspiring when you get your hands on a fresh piece of kit in the studio”, says Dave.  

Elsewhere, Jinx was inspired by explorations on a Novation controller, hooking it up to Reason to produce a deep bomb that bubbles and boils with energy. Meig is an atmospheric burner with a strong emotional undercurrent, built around the SEM VST from Arturia.

'DJ Emerson has cultivated a status as one of Germanys most respected and engaging techno DJs. He is known globally for his textured and layered synthetic sound that pulsates dancefloors. His humble beginnings in southern Germany, where he made breakbeat, eventually led to traveling to play in clubs from Medellin to Tokyo, Moscow, and everywhere in-between. Those travels have imprinted his stylistic approach and culminated in his latest album, Repetitive Music 2. The past two years have profoundly affected those in creative avenues of life. It came as no exception for DJ Emerson, as he found himself at an impasse as he started production of this album. Due to the high-octane nature of its sound, he felt at a loss for inspiration to create music made for dancefloors when none were open. However, ingenuity sometimes comes when you least expect it, and he began to revisit some unfinished tracks. Due to the driving, fast-paced techno that currently captivates the techno scene, the sound he produced in the late 90s and 2000s resonates with what works right now. These were tracks that DJ Emerson started on an old Atari computer and with his friend and mentor J.Breaker. The result is a rigorous, resounding and electrified sound. It has hypnotic basslines, infectious synths and groovy percussions. It is the perfect blend of basement dungeons pummeling bass drums with rip-roaring rhythms and shaking beats to get people on their feet. DJ Emerson has amalgamated his plethora of styles at his disposal to produce a dense techno album. One of the revisited tracks was 'The Internet". The influence of the previous decade is prevalent as it has hints of the Wipeout 2097 soundtrack. As an homage to rave and with tinges of acid, it has robotic voices, mean builds and even deadlier drops. 'Nichts gesagt' has a traditional Berlin techno sound. It has a driving bass drum, an icy snare and solemn yet penetrating pads that wistfully rise and fall with emphatic resonance. The final cut is probably the most intriguing. 'Notorious Smokers' (w_ Cosmo W. Pepper) has an apparent trip-hop and reggae influence that culminates the entire project as a piece of work presented by an artist who has a varied pallet. There is plenty of dub effects, warm sensations, and an infectious vocal encapsulating the listener. Repetitive Music 2 is what dance music should be, an infectious piece of work where every track could set the club alight. There are tracks for peak time, builders, chuggers, and secret weapons.'

Following his ‘Mazes & Monoliths’ EP on Rekids in 2021, as well as releases on Running Back, Hypercolour, Idle Hands, and Craigie Knowes, the Elastic Dreams boss returns to Radio Slave’s label for another standout three-track EP of colourful and psychedelic cuts.

Relentless techno powerhouses Octave One stride in 2022 with a brand new release that re-affirms their status across two essential tracks. 
2021 was another busy year for the Burden Brothers, who re-introduced the world to their Never On Sunday alias. The project first started in the 90s as an outlet for deeper, more introspective sounds and was fittingly brought back last year to great acclaim. The Detroit duo’s Locus of Control series also hit volume number three and the iconic Octave One live show continued to light up clubs everywhere from Barcelona, Paris and Geneva to LA and New York. Despite that, they still had time to cook up more of their famously soulful techno in the studio, the first two tracks of which are presented here.
Opener ‘The Blue Drift’ surges ahead on waves of rattling metallic synths. Well swung claps bring that irresistible sense of groove, while twisted melodies add raw dynamics. Add in the heavy underlying bass and you have a classic Octave One track that is both physical yet emotional. 
On the flip side is ‘It-Just-Is’ a powerful statement of intent. It’s a stripped back track where house and techno meet - there is a seductive slide to the drums and potency in the turbulent synths which bring the energy. The melody is melancholic and as the emotive pads ring out they lodge deep in your brain to make for another standout cut. 
This vital new release proves Octave One remains right at the forefront of underground music more than 30 years after they started out.

Radio Slave & Dustin Zahn team up as Radio Zahn for ‘Berlin Sessions Vol. 1’. Joining forces for the first time, Radio Slave and Dustin Zahn launch their collaborative works as Radio Zahn with a set of colourful, groove-laden techno tracks inspired by the sound of mid-90s New York on Rekids this May. His vitalwork with Intellephunk includes the nearly two decades long running Communion after-hours events, cementing his invaluable contributions to the Minneapolis techno scene and beyond.
