Hello again, and welcome back to GLITCH CURATES. This next journey is brought to you by Nicolas Vogler, a Dj/producer I've taken particular interest in recently through his own label NCLS 

From learning guitar as a child to finding love for electronic music in his teens Nicolas took a similar musical journey to me, its almost no surprise we've got similar taste now. 

Featuring some absolute classics from the 90s and early 2000s, this mix was a real pleasure to preview before its release and its been really tough to keep it a secret since that first play. Fast, groovy, dark and gritty Nicolas REALLY let loose on this one.

After trying out multiple styles of techno, upcoming talent Noark found her sound in the underground groove and rolling techno. When playing, intimacy and energy are the most important things to Noah. Which in turn makes her a good match with our sound and vision. This fresh Eindhoven based talent is one to keep an eye out for. 

Hopefully our industry can open its doors soon, that’s why she made another banging set full of fastpaced hypnotic and rolling beats that will definitely make you dance.

Uberkikz' style is inspired by early 2000 techno, known for its intense, merged with hard kicks and melancholic trancy melodies. Some folk and tribal elements are also part of these compositions.Each of her sets tells an emotional story with the aim of guiding the crowd throug various moments of intensity. Her signature style includes her own Russian vocals in which she highlights socio-political issues and actively takes a stance.

Specific Objects is a Berlin-based techno DJ, producer and owner of Twice Infinity Records. Before moving to the world’s techno capital, he earned his stripes in his hometown of Vienna as a resident DJ of the infamous Meat Market event series and crew member of Wiener Gerüstbau. 

The photographer-turned-musician is a man on a mission: pursuing his goal of bringing back the groove into hard and fast techno has led to several releases on labels like Akronym, Mitsubasa, Introspective or DREPT. When on stage, he effortlessly combines contemporary funky cuts with his favorite tunes from the early 2000s in a blend that‘s both modern and old school, always keeping drive and energy on the floor without residing to cheap tricks.

Groove Provider Podcast Series 001 - Specific Objects

For the second installment of our podcast series we’ve invited DJ Vibekiller. The Wiener Gerüstbau resident also known as one part of @pechplusschwefel has recently launched his new solo project and has provided us with a peak time vinyl-only mix which certainly does the total opposite of killing the vibe.

DJ Vibekiller lets you dive into the early nineties and presents a wide range of four-to-the-floor underground cuts. Their love and passion for old-school techno and especially vinyl records has been going strong for more than five years. After several sessions behind the turntables, it’s time to bring the groove and finely selected plates into the club.

Their soundscapes range from mechanical tools to aggressive percussion belters alongside breaky patterns to deliver an outstanding journey. It’s all about the connection with the crowd to create an intense energy and provide a dungeon atmosphere between the booth and the dance floor.

Groove Provider Podcast Series 002 - DJ Vibekiller

Dylan Fogarty is a Dublin based artist who’s on the forefront of a new wave of highly talented young artists who’ve rediscovered the old school sound of the 90’s and 00’s era of Techno and combine it with contemporary aesthetics and producing methods to create a new, yet very familiar sound – stripped back and loop driven, yet irresistibly groovy and funky.

Dylan has been taking his sound from the studio to dancefloors, securing gigs both internationally and locally supporting the likes of Dart, NTBR and Trym. 

Although the young artist is only just beginning his musical journey, he’s already got a wealth of support and releases under his belt on a number of VA compilations and labels such as the Canadian based PHTM, Concrete Berlin, Groovecore United and Aktiv to name a few.

Groove Provider Podcast Series 003 - Dylan Fogarty

RÆZA is a French-Malagasy artist & queer activist now living in Berlin. Part of electronic music since 2018, he has played at venues including Tresor, Whole Festival, RSO.Berlin, Boiler Room, Spielraum. His international bookings have seen him debut in Paris, Amsterdam, Milan, Vienna and Geneva.

RÆZA delivers a complex and textured set with rhythmic, percussive layers and an overall sexy almost cybernetic vibe. His hypnotic rhythm evolves over the course of a performance taking the dancefloor on a journey through deep almost, trippy valleys to love filled, intimate and sexy fields. Masterfully exchanging energy with his audience, RÆZA demonstrates and uses this deep connection with his dancers to deliver an impeccable journey that leaves people wanting more.

As the daughter of a famed Turkish Rock & Roll drummer, Elvin was born with rhythm and groove running through her veins. She moved to Madrid in 2013 and found inspiration in the vibrant Spanish electronic music scene, feeling increasingly drawn to the soundscape forged by her favorite artists. Since then, she carefully studied the club institution in preparation for her leap to the opposite side of the decks.

Her dynamic presence, infectious energy, and unwavering commitment to her craft were quickly picked up by various clubs and collectives in her city, leading her to grace some of the most respected clubs in Madrid, including Mondo Disko, The Bassment, Crow Techno Club, Studio 76, and Sala Muv, where she captivated audiences with her electrifying sets and undeniable talent for blending her Turkish musical heritage with the Spanish electronic music culture. She holds a residency with the dynamic FLINTA collective Fernweh, working to reclaim queer spaces and create a community which embraces diversity and promotes inclusivity through the faster, groovier edges of dance music.
