Happy New Year wonderful creatures! 

And as today we celebrate the Armenian Christmas, Acid Pauli   and I have a gift for you! 

Here is a track we made for our Cercle live in Armenia at Garni Temple. It was not supposed to be released but many of you asked for it so we realized that music has to be shared. Specifically when there is a purpose. 

As a matter of fact, all proceeds will go to charity ArmeniaFund to help my country which is facing an unprecedented crisis. 
I feel lucky (and sometimes guilty) being born in France while all my brothers and sisters have to undergo the Armenian chaotic system. 
We are the same people, the same blood, but we don’t have the same chances. And when we created our home Rambalkoshe we knew that Music and Art would be the answer. As soon as Martin - Acid Pauli stepped in our little house, he immediately understood. There I met a brother for life. Always here to support. Always here to spread love. So honest. So generous. Simple words or even silences say a lot. We shared so much. This mutual love and respect became a trigger for so many incredible projects coming this year… Looking forward to present them!

It's Good To Be A Tree is a deep and organic record label that focuses on tracks with downtempo grooves with trippy atmospherics, and the imprint is back with the third instalment of its annual various artist compilation.

'G2B3:comp-03' features nine tracks by artists including Fawno Feat. Dilob, Xente, Last Gentleman On Playa, Betelgeize, Daniel Hokum, Yassen, Valique, Kapchiz, DIBIDABO, Waxwood and Begiroquai.

Many of the artists on this release have featured on previous It's Good To Be A Tree releases, but others such as Fawno and Begiroquai are making their debut on the imprint.

Collectively the artists on this release have individually featured on other respected record labels such as Leveldva, Underyourskin Records, LNDKHN, kosa, Cafe De Anatolia, Baikal Nomads, Bar 25, Cosmic Awakenings, Pipe & Pochet, and Shango Records.

First on the release is Fawno's track "Cumbinsqui" that also features Dilob and Xente. Cumbinsqui is a dreamy track with live percussion and trippy vocal tones sequenced into a downtempo groove.

Track two is Last Gentleman On Playa’s track "Moloca Sunrise" which has chugging guitar chords and ambient bird sounds layered with shamanistic vocals.

Betelgeize's "Svoboda" is third on the release, and it's got a hallucinogenic vocal sample layered over the shuffling rhythms of heavy percussion.

Daniel Hokum's "Holy or Sinner" is the fourth track, and it has soulful vocals layered with an acid bassline as the foundation of its stripped-back groove.

Fifth on the release is Yassen's "Pantheon" which unfolds with building suspense as the sweeping pads flow between the dynamic percussion.

Valique's Karivarg is the seventh track, and it’s got an upbeat vibe with a pulsating bassline and a fluttering flute that combine to create an experimental groove.

Track eight is Kapchiz's "Largo," which has an uplifting vibe with a chugging groove, trippy vocal textures, and cosmic synths.

DIBIDABO's "Trismegist" is the penultimate track on the release, and it lifts the tempo with psychedelic guitar chords and haunting vocal textures that create a mesmerising groove.

Waxwood and Begiroquai collaborate on the release's final track "A Calendar of Wisdom" which is a soothing cut with feel-good piano melodies, and uplifting vocals that bring the release to a close.

Picking up the pace as it builds from start to finish, this is a masterfully curated compilation that is packed with DJ-friendly gems, but played as a single stream of music, it’s also a perfect home listening experience.

PREMIERE│Betelgeize - Svoboda [It's Good To Be A Tree]

Music can heal. Tried it myself many times. There is a secret playlist of mine where i collect tracks that had a therapeutic effect on me. I took some of them and recorded a mix a year ago (Lazy Grooves Vol.16 Here Pop-up restaurant edition). It's time to record another one - different genres, different emotions. There is an unreleased track by me and my friend Oleg on 19th minute called Velvet Gamma, planning to release it this year.

@turuanasi latest EP, an exploration of organic house and downtempo textures where grounded rhythms meet vibrant, eastern-inspired melodies. Across three unique tracks, Turu conjures an immersive soundscape that combines deep house grooves, lush instrumentation, and evocative atmospheres.

It opens with “Dukite,” a mesmerizing slow-burner that builds a delicate mood with haunting eastern electric guitar melodies, inviting listeners into a hypnotic, introspective journey.

This is the soundtrack of my first Imagery episode. 

Music is one way I create, but as most of you know photography is a big part of my life. In my Imagery project I combine the audio and the visual side to create one full immersion. This project is about the continuous interactions between the audio and the visual: how photography and traveling has shaped my music and how my path in music has impacted my travels and photography. 

Both music and photography are strong triggers of emotions and memories. Each “Imagery” episode relates to a special adventure, reflecting a specific sentiment. My musical vision is built around the concept of taking the listener on a journey. With this project I want to deepen the musical experience by taking the listener on my personal journey.

The first episode will take you to the wild hills of Papua. Still disconnected from the main world, it was unlike anything I have ever seen before. Imagine yourself in a place where there are no roads, walking from village to village through an area of huge biological diversity inhabited by various indigenous hill tribes. Most of these indigenous tribes are rarely in contact with foreigners from outside their microcosms. And this isolation has preserved their unique and rich traditions. 

The music guiding you through the photos reflects my intriguing and mystical experience in Papua. This track is a great example of musical storytelling and it greatly reflects the essence of what I’m looking for in music. The chords create a sense of melancholia, which for me, is one of the most interesting emotions the explore. And the melodies form an ode to the beautiful nature of Papua and the mystical hill tribes inhabiting this land.
