At the age of 87, when asked about the lesson his long life had taught him, the philosopher Bertrand Russell had a simple, twofold message - one part being rational and the other moral.
He advised us, who live long after his death, to consider all the facts, whether we like them or not, but above all to choose love over hate - to be tolerant and not antagonistic.
In this field between facts and what we make of them,
between cold logic and caring understanding, we are called to calm down, reflect and listen to our inner voice.
This EP is an invitation to do just that, be it at a festival, in nature or the comfort of our home. Warm and playful, powerful and intricate, arousing and soothing, it is a bridge between a open eyed summer dream and a vibrating dance floor; a slow melodic journey, whose fullness embraces us, while its tingling details call us on.

ele & aal’s upcoming EP "Little Dreamers" is a nod to those quiet moments when small 
dreams are born. Fleeting thoughts flutter in the stillness, and it's in these moments that 
subtle reflections shape our days and nights. These dreams are humble and gentle, not 
grandiose or loud, yet they have their own kind of power. They represent the quiet 
perseverance of the soul’s understated joy of creating something meaningful out of the 
ordinary.

To dream, even a little, is to acknowledge the potential for something more. It is an act of 
quiet rebellion against the rush of the everyday, a refusal to be overwhelmed by the noise. 
It’s a reminder that there is value in the small, the simple, and the subtle. "Little Dreamers" is 
an exploration of this idea, an authentic reflection of those small, persistent dreams that 
guide us, whatever that might mean.

The EP’s opener, “Gravitation,” showcases dalié’s gentle and captivating voice. Her vocals 
weave effortlessly through the track, creating a soothing and introspective atmosphere. The 
deep, melancholic guitar and synthesized melodies complement her voice beautifully, 
enhanced by subtle and vibrant percussive elements.

A. Tonight and Every Night Usha: First heard in Daphni’s track Usha, this tune can be seen as a re-imagination. It begins with a one-bar acid bassline, merging with 808 drums. The catchy vocal sample, lifted from Usha Uthup’s 1984 classic “Main Gul Badan”, breathes into the groove. As the track unfolds, detuned pads and delayed stereo effects evolve it into a dreamy, immersive soundscape.

B. The Beat Goes on and on: Opening with a sample from The Whispers’ timeless ‘And the Beat Goes On’, this track layers two breakbeats over one another to create a dynamic percussive base. With its acid bassline and stereo sound effects, the tune feels constantly shifting, evolving, and hypnotic.

C. Tom with the Weather: The slowest track of the EP, combines layered breaks, bongos, 808s, 303 bassline and recorded guitar & keys. It features a Bill Hicks quote - “Today a young man on acid realized…” culminating in an ego-dissolving statement and a satirical sign-off reminiscent of a weatherman’s report. The second half transitions into a breakbeat-driven section, replacing the earlier disco groove, while weird, groovy effects ripple through the recurring sample, “Tom with the Weather”

Washington D.C. based Bamba sent us this set with a little note, describing  the reasons for him to create this mix:
There are a lot of people going through difficult times right now, as it has gotten a lot harder to escape the confrontation with all that ugliness and hate lately. Bamba’s way out was to dream through music. His mix sets hope, that better days will come. It is meant as a reminder that we all are still connected through music and hopefully always will be. 

Bamba crossed our path on the very beginning of chameleoncast. He has always been supporting our mission of releasing slow music in fast times and we are happy that Talpa Rec. has a special place in his heart. He also expresses his love for slow music with his beautiful channel called "Downtempo Rituals".

Kazakhstan is not very well known for it’s electronic music scene but there are a few people who represent the country on a global scale and Aidar is one of them. He is a producer, promoter and a dj, wether it be his musical experiments under the alias of Wawawiwas or Cosmic Picnic festival and Elevation parties which are regularly held high up in Tian Shan mountains.

A true musical nomad and embassador of central asian music scene he has hosted shows on Energy FM, Proton Radio and shared decks with djs like M.Rux, Britta Arnold, Joyce Muniz, Paul Traeumer, Simple Symmetry, Bora Uzer, Shubostar, Theus Mago and many more. 

Aidar’s music includes digital and vinyl releases in different genres on various labels such as Spring Tube, Nang, Rune Recordings, Mind Over Matter, UBER and others.
