keep it real to the grave or find another route
I chose breathin and I live with what that means

Regen, Regen – lauf da durch, egal wohin
träum vom Sommer, doch der bleibt nur in mir drin.

Laufe durch die Straßen, Kapuze tief im Gesicht,
alles grau, alles nass, doch verdrängen kann ich’s nicht.
Sommer wär mir lieber, Sonne brennt wie im Film,
aber hier tropft nur der Himmel, und die Schuhe zieh’n im Schlamm.

Jeder Tropfen auf der Haut wie ’n Takt in nem Beat,
denk an ferne Strände, doch die gibt’s hier grad nicht.
Also such ich im Regen nach Momenten, die was geben,
vielleicht muss man in Wolken auch mal Freiheit sehen.

Und ich frag mich, warum Sonne nur kurz bleibt,
warum der Himmel meistens graue Storys schreibt.
Doch vielleicht wär Sommer ewig irgendwann zu laut,
vielleicht brauch ich das Grau, damit man Farben überhaupt schaut.

Meine Leute sagen: „Bruder, chill, das geht vorbei“,
irgendwann bricht die Sonne wieder durch, glaub mir, sei dabei.
Doch Geduld ist nicht mein Ding, will jetzt Wärme in der Brust,
seh nur Pfützen auf den Straßen, alles spiegeln voller Frust.

Doch da merk ich, wie die Tropfen tanzen, rhythmisch auf Asphalt,
wie mein Atem kleine Wolken malt im Kontrast.
Und vielleicht ist das Leben auch genau wie dieses Land,
mal zu kalt, mal zu nass, doch es bleibt interessant.

Vielleicht will ich Sonne, doch der Regen hält mich wach,
zeigt mir, dass man Schönheit auch im Grau entdecken kann.
Kein Sommer ohne Winter, kein Licht ohne Nacht … 
und genau da setzt der Regen an –
