As a lable Spa In Disco has already been featured on the Top 100 best selling releases in Beatport, Traxsource, Juno Download…. and other digital stores.

This is not a rap-dream story.

Born Tarik Lee Trotter in Far Rockaway, Queens, NYC on October 14, 1989, Tarik grew up mostly in Brooklyn's East New York area. Having moved around a great deal during earlier years, placed Tarik in 4 out of the 5 boroughs by the time he was in high school. He used rap, not as an escape, but as a way to channel the emotional roller coaster from circumstance into something shareable and accessible to those experiencing their own. 

His mother has given birth 5 times, Tarik is the only one who lived past the day of his own - which, for him, identifies the magnitude of his purpose. His father's role in his life grew over time, after originally being placed under court-ordered visitation restrictions. As a young boy, Tarik was raised mostly by his single mother, in Brooklyn's gang-beset streets. 

His rough upbringing, and even current challenges, are conveyed through many of his autobiographical songs. 

Tarik began writing music at age 20. It was December of 2009 and Tarik was in between semesters of his sophomore year in college. He was faced with the unavoidable truth of having to drop out due to financial lacking. He sat alone in his dorm room, with the realization that he would no longer be able to aid his family with a college degree, and began to write about it. He wrote covers of well-known songs by Drake, Clipse, Kanye, Jay-Z and others. Since he couldn't afford recording costs, he recorded songs in a friend's bedroom, with pillows on the walls to deflect sound.

Since his rocky start, Tarik's honest and transparent writing has paid off. His initial mixtape "T.R.I.G.S." amassed over 25,000 downloads. His 2nd, "Here To Stay", over 25,000 streams, and he has garnered well over 1,000,000 total YouTube views. He has opened for several prominent acts such as Fabolous, Ice Cube, French Montana, Curren$y, and many others. He has performed at notable venues such as Irving Plaza and Bowery Ballroom in New York City, Toads Place in Connecticut and The Electric Factory in Philadelphia.

Tarik remains relatively anonymous, after taking a 3 year hiatus to develop himself as a distinguished artist. He has returned with a strategic plan of attack, and one specific goal in mind - anything that comes with it is a plus.
