Continuing to be a force to be reckoned with this summer is the prolific Petra Recordings label, six slabs of heat marking number 36 on the label - “Cosmic Breeze”. At the controls they have Istanbul based producer, Sarp Ozaydin, with three originals followed by three stellar remixes from dub techno maestro Havantepe, rising star Ozeil, and O’ner returns off the back of his recent “Another Behavior” EP on the label. 

EP opener “Tears Of The Vale” - is a shimmering sunset trip, the uplifting synths creating a distinctive atmosphere as the deep house drums cruise you deep  the night. Title track “Cosmic Breeze” is an exploration of pure bliss, the elastic bass line creates ainton irresistible groove in combination with the tight drum work from Ozaydin. “Organised Chaos” is a bubbling and hazy journey, light on its feet, and cool to the touch. 

Offering up his vast dub experience in his “Tears Of The Vale” remix is, Havantepe, a sleek and transcending outtake of the original. O’ner also serves up his interpretation of the title track, maintaining the similar energy of the original in terms of depth, combined with his signature warm bass. Ozeil drops “Organised Chaos'' on its head bringing pacey garage house drums to his version, definitely one for the club room! 

Petra continues to evolve, pushing high grade house sounds for the soul! A fantastic curation of breezy summer beats for your collection.

Premiere: Sarp Ozaydin - Tears Of The Vale (Havantepe Remix) [Petra Digital]

The dynamic plot, combined with a set of glossy basses, whispering percussion and classical delays, jogs the memory of the old-school shades. Its deep intonations fit perfectly into the solid arrangement, representing the energy of the sea surf. The reunion with the natural principle is in full swing in the continuous version by Havantepe.

Nils Penner delivers a lovely soulful EP with the mesmerising voice of Emilie Nana. The full spectrum of beautiful inducing vibes, just a great house record charged with emotions that comes right for late summer!

We were simply blown away, when we firstly listened to Nils Penner’s latest offering for Compost Black. The follow-up of his „Master Petz“ release (Black Label #121) in 2014 is just a brilliant piece of music! Versatile, soulful and deep in full effect, just the way we love it!

The title track „The One“ features a sublime mesmerising vocal performance by Emilie Nana, who just released her debut album „The Meeting Legacy“ on Compost. A smoothly waving groover coming still in time for the late summer and suits perfectly late-back beach sessions and pool parties.

The B-side contains „Mercury“, a proper deep house jam with an afro twist. Tricky percussion works and a playful bass line meet sophisticated orchestral vibes. Epic in many ways.

With the second track „Blue“ Nils shows his true talent as an ingenious arranger. The result is a wonderful instrumental journey, some finest ear milk. The happy end of this romantic EP.

Grounded In Humanity claims to be an output for the most instinctive aspect of the Human Species, which is certainly the most creative one and also the responsible for chaining these creatures to their own existence, preventing them to evolve from a more rational perspective. This hypothetical development would probably bring equal opportunities for the vast majority of the collective and a greater progression indeed. 
However, the power of the individual is systematically given priority condemning this species to a mere and miserable existence.

The label narrates a metaphoric science fiction story where each vinyl reference represents a chapter, comprising a comic and an intro or outro speech to further illustrate the plot of the episode.
