The Berlin-based live duo and production unit, OPERANT, have progressively carved out their own space in the scene with boundary-defying electronic explorations, fuelled with tension and obscurity. 
 Characterised by unrestrained experimentation, the project brutally morphs itself as it pleases, both in performance and in the studio.

Sounds From NoWhere Podcast #067 - OPERANT

D-Leria returns to the scene more than a year after debuting on Berlin-based label Delirio, releasing a collection of work produced between 2014 and 2018; ten tracks which mark a new beginning for this young Italian producer, sweeping between heavy ambient excursions to hypnotic/ tribal techno, modernized and polished off in his own way.
‘Driving to Nowhere’ is the summation of an extended journey; a year-long hiatus due to unforeseen health concerns allowed time to meditate and consider his past experiences in Italy’s various underground electronic music scenes, and the potential directions inspired by thriving Berlin. 
From 2014 to 2017 he released several EP’s, each developing upon this new style, until joining the young label Delirio as both a musician and a manager. 
With Delirio he has hosted artists such as Stanislav Tolkackev, Roberto Bosco, Plaster, Retina.it and more, with a unique agenda to record precisely produced music live, instead of laboring in the studio to achieve over-polished audio.
His first album inaugurates the beginning of the new DLP catalog, which will be dedicated to LPs, albums and other projects released on 12-inch vinyl.
Through these 10 tracks D-Leria experiments with various production methods, as in ‘Makumba’ where he precisely combines the kick drum with a tight bass line in a 12-step sequence, making the track fluid and never predictable. ‘Reborn’ is an even more ambitious undertaking, initially recorded on tape before being sent back to the mixer via Hi Fi stereo, D-Leria modulated the cassette coil with a bic pen to create a unique ‘detune’ effect. ‘From the Ground’ and ‘Driving to Nowhere’, both made through the same setup, combine tribal voices and moans, combining an ethereal ambience with drums and analog percussion, connecting the rhythm directly to the soul.
The opening track ‘Libero’ is dedicated to himself, while ‘Her Smile’ and ‘Uragano’ are both dedicated to the person that was closest to him in his last period of stop and realization of the album, where he expresses his most deep moments in the first, and more difficult in the second.
Just like in most of the EP already released on Delirio, Giuseppe Tillieci aka Neel took care of the mastering of the tracks, while the artist has taken care of the smallest details from the production, to the mixing, to the graphics and also to the titles of the tracks, which refer to personal thoughts and events that happened during this long journey to nowhere.

Grounded podcast number 122 welcomes Irish artist Swarm Intelligence who currently resides in Berlin, Germany. Known for his explorations through sound and genres his numerous releases span a range of styles from ambient and noise, through techno and electro, right through to drum and bass and breakcore.

For the past decade and more, whether its some tense atmospherics, uncompromising levels of distortion and stark, astute beats his influences have allowed him to hone in on a very original sound which can be easily heard in one of his latest released tracks titled 'Cumulus' on Voitax.

Whether performing menacing hardware live sets, or jumping from genre to genre behind the turntables, Swarm Intelligence will leave an indelible impression on any club night.

Diasiva provide us with #007 in our podcast series, an all Diasiva playlist that includes tracks spanning their 7 year discography + a collection of unreleased material.

Produced in a symbiosis of perfectly unaligned and uncalibrated modular synthesis, “Thirst” is Diasiva pushing current DSP technology to its edges, their sound is informed by a weekly meeting of sonic experimentation and exploration in their Neukölln studio, drawing inspiration from the detritus of West Berlin. “Thirst” represents the ongoing evolution of Diasiva from sledge-hammer logic into expression in motion, welding IDM & deconstructed breaks to pure sonic abstraction, embracing visions of a brighter future yet leading curious eyes toward the ever present darkness, holding the hand of the likeminded, marching together toward the abyss.

Diasiva are Monolog and Swarm Intelligence, formed in 2011 for the first edition of Burn The Machine Festival in Subland, Berlin, playing numerous live sets around Berlin after this, including the following Burn the Machine. In 2016, they released their debut LP “Doublefade” on the seminal Ohm Resistance label, later that year, they released “Sabo” on Monolog & Subtrakt imprint, 2017 saw their Station 1805 EP released on Acroplane. The duo now returns for their debut EP on Instruments of Discipline.

Vittorio Di Mango is an Italian DJ/producer from the class of 97, born in Trani, a small city in the south of Italy. 

Vittorio's first approach to electronic music was in 2012 when he played in little clubs in his city and those nearby. In 2014 he became interested in Techno music by taking part as a resident DJ in a local organization called "White XXX", which later led him to exhibit with such important artists including Dax J, Phase Fatale and Samuel Kerridge. His musical sets are characterized by a weaving of Techno with that of sounds such as acid, industrial and ebm. In September 2016 releases his first Ep ‘’Wrong definition’’ on Amok Tapes. In January 2017 came out his first remix ‘’Prepare to die’’ on NEN Records. On april 7 was inaugurated ‘’Epilessia’’ his first track on vinyl with I Hate Models on Khemia records.
In 2017 part of SENSUM EVENTS as resident DjIn 2018 he became part of WAYS and in 2018 he became part of WAYS.

She got the name “Shakti (Power in Hindi)” while studying in India and as the name describes, she delivers powerful energy to the floor.
