After a break to work on their own projects the dynamic production duo based out of Vienna, Austria are back with a double header of tracks which give a nod to the direction of the follow up to their Breakspoll nominated debut album!

Do It Baby is a funky early door groover, filled with sweeping pads, vocodered vocals, and uplifting chord sequences this is the perfect summertime vibe!

I Can Feel It on the other hand is a dark Tech-Funk monster, building throughout upon a minor chord sequence and deep, dark baseline.

Two very different pieces of music which show that the wait for Fisso & Spark's second album will be worth it!

The penultimate bundle of DJ friendly singles from DJ Hero's album Don't Say The B-Word, this contains the tracks that have probably had the most buzz when sent out to tastemakers.  With support on these tracks reading as a who's who of the breaks scene, and radio play already from Atomic Hooligan and Lady Waks these are simply essential!

Celestial Bodies, featured on the Stanton Warriors basement mix late last year is a low-slung groover, working around a piano riff and understated bassline. Hula Hoop, which is also featured on our forthcoming Ground Level 7 compilation, is a mass of squeaks and bleeps, back with an awesome, and unexpected breakdown.  Ghetto stomp is once again understated, and focuses on the groove and the infectious 'this is where the ghetto stomp' vocal refrain.

All three of these tracks sit on the boundary between breaks and bass music, and provide a variety of flavours for your DJ sets!

The new SP23 label launches with The Music Ain’t Over EP. After years of focusing on the live side of the collective, the production unit are gearing up for stream of forthcoming releases.

23 Psi is a collaboration between Crystal Distortion and Sirius. 
Psi has a spectrum of meanings and interpretations ranging from it being the 23rd letter of the Greek alphabet to a measure of pressure.

The original is a breakneck rampage of raw warehouse rave, while Crystal Distortion steps up into a slamming rework  with the Gotham Hijack Mix – psychedelic, dynamic, frenetic techno that crystallises the harder sound SP23 was instrumental in developing across the European scene

Two heavyweight remixes come from Charlie Kane who is second generation SP23. His Acid Overdrive Mix is a dark, penetrating, rolling acid groove, bursting with sensual atmospherics and industrial echoes while his 2 Steppin Ruffneck mix tears up the bad boy vibes with a dub garage rollout.

"With a clap of thunder and a flash of something hairy, the doors to the pub exploded. As the smoke cleared it left Father Funk stood silhouetted in the doorway. We all stared open mouthed as he moonwalked in and pointed to our table "I don't like you!" he shouted, "My friend doesn't like you either!" Then he started chopping our arms off with his bloody light sabre. Turns out the good Father was just trying out for the next Star Wars movie, he's so Super pippin' hot right now that we're not ruling it out. It's true that having no arms will mean we'll have to resign from the darts team, but seeing The Father sexoring up Princess Leia on the telly will ease any resentful feelings we may harbour towards the scamp! 

And hell! He apparently does have the death sentence on 12 systems, so we were lucky it was just the arms!

One of electronic music's true daddies steps up.

Heavily influenced by Aphex Twin, who went on to become his labelmate at Warp, Tom 'Squarepusher' Jenkinson had an experimental approach to bass guitar - both at school, and then later in teenage metal bands - which he applied to electronic music, releasing his debut record, Stereotype (under the name Stereotype) in 1994. After a series of records on Spymania, Jenkinson landed on Warp's roster in 1995, and became part of the label's stable of 1990s titans with Aphex, Autechre, Boards of Canada, Plaid et al.

The 20 years since have seen Squarepusher tear up the templates of jazz, drum'n'bass, psychedelia, techno and more across over 15 albums, while also developing one of the most talked-about live shows on the electronic circuit. Last year, the Squarepusher project reached a logical climax of sorts when Jenkinson released an EP, Music for Robots, that was written by him but performed by a trio of Z-Machine robots (including a 77-fingered guitarist and a 22-armed drummer). That hasn't, of course, stopped him: this month he released his latest album, Damogen Furies. 

For Squarepusher's FACT mix, he looks way back, at the rave music from the turn of the 1990s that not only inspired him, but many of his contemporaries. This is Squarepusher presents Shut Up And Dance, 1990-1992, and it's rude as fuck.
