"Out of a sentimental and pseudo intellectual notion I called this "Memoires D'Outre Bong". (some of you will understand the wordplay... hint: there is a steak called Chateaubriand) My memory is usually not that bad. But somehow the vision into the years from 1994 to 1998 is quite blurry. I think it has to do with the hits from the bong. Here are some bits that I remember well. Most of them are not really official hits, some of them actually give me shivers ... all below 90 bpm! Solastalgie 2

The first ReFrame of 2023 and one that's been coming together on the slow cook for a few months now, crystallising as the soundtrack to a recent break away in the Lakes.

The first hopefully in a series that's unashamedly stolen it's name from Enid Blytons splendid children's tale... a childhood fave.  Musically this is one gently ambles through left of centre hazy downbeats, psyche, folk, library music, a bit of MF Doom and lots of Balearic niceties. Picking up the pace to close with a few Afro cosmic percussive faves old and new.

Pleased with how this one's come together. Music from Stringtronics, Hoover, Wool, John Mark, Lucio Battisti, Love & Rockets, Leon Lowman, MF Doom, Khruangbin, Bottin, Carly Simon, Baby Cool, African Head Charge, East coast Love Affair. Sonic Foundry, Talking Drums, Phantom Slasher,  Cherrystones, Serge Gainsbourg amongst others....

The second hour moving into electronic sounds with the haunting Crossings of Neumayer station marking the shift before moving into a reshaped Back Sabbath and upwards into the psychedelic disco, quirky  80s leftfield electronics, finishing with  Felix Dickinsons calling the shots

Music From Mullets #24 starts into 2025 with two hours dedicated to Ambient and New Age, maybe with a little folky, sometimes even spiritual impact. The second hour comes with a guest mix straight from the bin @growingbinrecords –– Basso has been a musical inspiration since many many years and lots of his early YT uploads are still some of my long-time favorite records. This is gonna be an episode to either stretch out on your yoga mat or curl up next to your cat. It will gently massage your eardrum.

I say boogie related because on this mix there are some straight boogish cuts as well as fusion/balearic/rap/electro-influenced songs.
