A world ruled by machines speaking through foreign tongues, destined to run on autopilot until we wake up.
Combining elements of dark progressive, industrial and psychedelic trance, this EP highlights every aspect of our mindset as we journey through worldwide hysteria. The
constant drum of the deep basslines of our hypnotized state, broken by erratically chattering
machines that try to break free of the bonds of our disharmony with the world and
each other, as the funky tempo of the hi-hats impatiently wait for us to come back to our
natural senses.

An EP collaboration made during a visit from Fisheye in Alchemy Circle’s Studio. This was a moment of great inspiration which resulted in the composition of three extremely unique, versatile tracks that are now ready to mesmerize all dancefloors around the world.

Mesmerise is the concept of being hypnotised, to have a high level of focus and concentration on your inner thoughts.
You block out distractions and focus completely on a single thought, memory, feeling or emotion. We, psychedelic travellers, seek for that moment of true connection with the music. A mind state where you can no longer think for yourself and you let the music speak, that is what Mesmerized is all about!

10 years ago we heard offshoots of music that could be described as alternative, deep and the more darker side of progressive psytrance. 
A decade later it spawned an entirely new sub genre known as dark progressive, captivating a generation of passionate, ardent listeners and bringing in new producers day by day to the scene with its infectious blend of sound design, catchy moderate tempos and deep psychedelia. 

Occulta Records today firmly stands as a pioneering label today to have promoted this entire movement with various shades of dark progressive with a synonynous sound and an arsenal of incredible producers ranging from South America to Australia spanning across all continents. 
This compilation is a culmination of the labels past, present and future that would propel the listener to new dimensions whilst keeping the classic dark prog essence!

IVORT - CORPUS CALLOSUM

La destruction et la fin du monde n'ont donc pas eu lieu. Malgré cela Enfance avait bien prévu une part d'apocalypse avec sa première sortie de l'année
2013. Ivort est de retour avec son second opus "Corpus Callosum". Avec ces 4 nouveaux titres, Ivort renoue avec les bases de son premier EP "Hidden".

En amorce, le morceau Accento, démarre comme un track minimal tech-house sombre et groovy assez classique. La deuxième partie du morceau devient quant à elle plus lyrique et mélancolique, tout en finesse, l'exemple est bien maitrisé. Après une entrée en matière réussi, les nappes d'ambiance de l'interlude viennent refléter parfaitement la couleur de l'ep, sombre et envoutant.

S'en suit la track éponyme "Corpus Callosum" un titre binaire et caverneux à souhait avec une deuxième partie qui apporte encore une fois son lot de surprises et d'émotions : l'influence electronica n'est jamais très loin. La sortie se termine avec "Perturbations". Son côté plus dub techno et sa construction plus subtile et évolutive, presque dans l'ambiance big room techno, viendra ravir sans problème nos amis les dj's.

GRUB is the portuguese producer Fernando Rodrigues (Psyjar).
His musical performance background started in the early 90's, as a lead vocalist of the thrash-metal band "WC Noise" (1990/1996). Around that time 
he gets introduced to electronic dance music, and in 1997 starts walking his first steps into electronic music making... 
He is a founding member of projects such as "Chilled C'Quence", "Quantic Devices" and "Minimonster" (to name a few) and in the middle of 2012, Grub.

The project started as a duo, alongside with Andre Sousa (Cajarana).
After the first track "All is full of Grubs" being released on a Maia Brasil VA in August 2013, they have their debut EP "Mechanical Particles" coming out under the wing of Glitchy.Tonic.Records in January 2014.
By 2015 they join the Australian label Zenon Records and release "Seventh Kind". This EP was a more conceptual idea, leading the listener through an alternate alien environment reality, within deep, dark and mysterious places.
They kept on performing live in many venues and festivals throughout Europe, and in 2020 personal/professional reasons drove André away from the project. The duo turns into solo and Psyjar carries on with Grub, diving in the studio for new sonic content creation.

 - GRUB is the materialization of fractal energy, condensed in audible vibratory frequencies...!
