Sidney Charles & Santé have teamed up again to forge the 'Forever EP’ on Hot Creations with Russ Yallop on remix duty. Those that have witnessed their epic sets playing together will know the vibrant energy they create and this latest offering stands stead to them.

The title track ‘Forever’ uses dynamic claps, an indelible beat and a simple but effective vocal that ties all the elements together. With a playful production technique at its heart, this is a cut made for summertime. Things get a little darker with ‘Mogli’, morphing high-pitched, glitchy sounds alongside a hissing beat. On the flip side, Russ Yallop remixes ‘Forever’ to make the whole track bounce with a heavy and thick bassline.

Hamburg-born Sidney Charles has only been releasing music for four years but has already had a string of successes on labels such as 8bit, Moda Black, AVOTRE and VIVa. Berlin-based Santé is also involved with all areas of music as he DJ’s, produces, and is building on his own record label AVOTRE. Sidney Charles & Santé have previously released on Hot Creations with ‘All Night Long’ on the ‘Hot Summer Jams’ album.

Russ Yallop is a key member of the underground house scene and  is no stranger to Hot Creations; he has previously released ‘Traffic’ and ‘System Crank’ with them, whist also regularly DJing at their worldwide events. He is also an established member of the Crosstown Rebels family after first releasing with them in 2010.

Veteran Dutch producer Mason marks his debut on Kittball Records this December with a new single titled ‘Live On Dreams’, featuring a solid remix from Sincopat boss AFFKT.

Mason has been creating groove heavy, melodic club music since 2004, experiencing mainstream success but also cementing his position on the independent circuit with releases on LouLou Records, Boys Noize and Bunny Tiger. Add to this his own label, Animal Language, and a major record deal with Island, the scope of this Dutchman’s work ethic tells no lie, and this December sees him build on an extensive back catalogue with a fiery new single on Juliet Sikora and Tube and Berger’s Kittball Records.

‘Live On Dreams’ gets things started with melodic textures followed by an expressive vocal edit and an emotive chord progression, until rising and falling textures give way to compelling grooves and earworm melodies.

Closing the package is Spanish artist AFFKT, known for releases on Suara, Kling Klong and Noir Music, who reshapes Mason’s original into a shape shifting house gem, sure to lighten up dance floors wherever it’s unleashed.

Supernature’s provocative multi-artist LP, Kolors, will be released early summer. The first full album to come out of this label, Kolors is a grand opus – an artistic collaboration that merits some extended play time and inspires some serious soul searching.

Kolors is not your average compilation; the project explores the individual visual perception of color and how that compares to the unique auditory experience of music.

The 15 contributing artists have all chosen a color to define the essence of their track. The selected colors expand the traditional spectrum with on-point specifics like ‘Matt Silver,’ ‘Lunar White’ and ‘Mint Green’. Regardless how many adjectives used, everyone will see these colors differently, and that is exactly the point! The experience of colors, like music, is subjective.

The project’s rich concept adds layered depth and gives listeners an expanded auditory experience. The colors are well considered and one hears the artistic intention behind the labeling.

In a profoundly personal, artistic revelation artists also provided the reasoning behind their selection, evoking instant imagery and placing listeners in the mind of the musician. Of their track, ‘Lunar White’, John Charnis & Jimmy Maheras said, “When we wrote the song the melodies reminded us of the moments in a dark dance floor where people's faces were illuminated, whether by strobe lights and lasers, or the glow of the moon in an outdoor party.” That visual association becomes abundantly clear when one listens to the corresponding music.
