My first outdoor event in 15 months was wonderful, I played a progressive into fullon psytrance set after sunset on Saturday night from 8:30pm to 10:00pm at the Psytribe, DaleCaliBr, and DesertRats Solstice party just outside of Los Angeles in SoCal on 6.19.21. First outdoor event since the state fully reopened.  Was a proper dancefloor and a real good time! The set went from 137 bpm to 142 bpm playing out of the progressive and techno from Willy Electronarcosis building up for the night into Quadra. Introducing SCI4, the emerging talent taking the Progressive Psytrance scene by storm. 

With roots in the early clubbing days of Cape Town and London, Barry Cooke, already known for his Full-on Psytrance DJ Sets & Production under the alias SCIBAR, has now taken on a new persona in SCI4 & is quickly gaining a fanbase of dedicated fans who can't get enough of his unique sound. 

Each DJ set is not just about the destination, it's about the journey itself & is carefully curated to take listeners on a journey through epic soundscapes with dark, energetic, trippy basslines yet keeping a feeling of uplifting happiness. 

His sound is not easily categorized, but rather a blend of different influences and styles, making each performance truly one to remember. 

SCI4 is not satisfied with following the beaten path, instead, he's constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible with his own Progressive sound and experimenting with new sounds, techniques, and ideas to evolve and grow as an artist. Working hard in the studio to create his own blend of sounds, The future looks bright for SCI4 as he continues to evolve and grow as an artist.

In this Release Tease INTELLIGENCE is proud to be presenting his debut album 'Opera Prima' through this exclusive mix on radiOzora. The album is entitled "Opera Prima" which translated from Latin, means 'First Art Published', which is exactly what this LP is. It is Intelligence's new music story, evolving from his previous sound into something original, mature, groovy and darn right psychedelic. Intelligence is the project of Mexican born artist, Enrique Fernández Tanco. With influences from most genres of electronic music, Intelligence began his journey into psytrance production in 2009 and has released on labels like 24/7 Rec, Grasshopper, Spun & Dacru before joining South African-based label, Expo Records in 2020. Flash forward to 2023, and we see the much anticipated release of his debut album, and a step in a new direction in terms of sound.
