The one that never made it online, until now!

‘1501’ - an album that came and went, as quick as the weather changing, here in the UK. That, by no means, the album was poor. In fact, it was quite the opposite. It was a quality body of work, meticulously crafted by Derby based musician and producer, Nikka Sev, comprising of quality vocalists, uncompromising compositions during an unfortunate sign of the times we live in, where music is so disposable, regardless of how good tracks are.

The album saw both a digital and physical release - the latter being a very rare occurrence in this day and age, given how everything is being pushed to the streaming world. The physical release, however, boasted a bonus track, titled ‘Piti Bin Sadaa’, featuring the vocals of the Late. Sanjeev Jalalabadi, with lyrics being provided by Guddu Sidhwanwala.

Many will remember this song being originally sang by the late Kuldip Manak. Manak and Jalalabadi’s relationship was that of teacher and student, respectively. The song was originally Sanjeev’s, but on hearing the song, Kuldip Manak asked if he could have the song, to which Sanjeev more than willingly gave, out of respect for his teacher.

This version of ‘Piti Bin Sadaa’ is the original way in which is supposed to be sang. Nikka has really gone the extra mile is creating a song which bleeds pure genius and class. Sanjeev’s vocals are relentless, and really come to life in this song.

“Baba Deep Singh Ji” is the brand new dharmik single By Gurvinder Singh featuring the vocals of the As Amar (Student of Lt. Kuldeep Manak) .

The track tells the story of how in April 1757, Ahmad Shah Durranior ordered the demolition of Harmandir Sahib (the "Golden Temple"). The Gurdwara was blown up and the sacred pool filled with the entrails of slaughtered animals.

Baba Deep Singh Ji, 75 years old, felt that it was up to him to atone for the sin of having let the Afghans desecrate the shrine. Baba Ji emerged from scholastic retirement and declared to a congregation at Damdama Sahib that he intended to rebuild the Gurdwara.
During the battle Baba Ji was mortally wounded with a blow to the neck, but not completely decapitated. After receiving this, a Sikh reminded Baba Deep Singh Ji, "You had resolved to reach the periphery of the pool." On hearing this, he held his head with his left hand and removing the enemies from his way with the strokes of his 15 kg Khanda with his right hand, reached the periphery of Harmandir Sahib where he breathed his last breath. The Sikhs recovered their prestige by defeating the Afghan army and the latter were forced to flee. Baba Deep Singh Ji was Shaheed on 11/11/1757
