Sail

An original composition intended to be part of a Suite. This movement, as the title suggests is music of the night (Nocturn). One of those nights in a woodland when your mind can go a little crazy.

Oman is a fantastic Country with rich history and a diverse melting pot of cultures. This piece tries to evoke some of that. With a fusion of several musical styles uniting as one holistic piece. I hope you enjoy "Oman Nights'.   

Oman Nights

Something a little different from me. A little bit of 'Club' feel with a fusion of 'Latin' Enjoy!! 

THIS IS A RE-MIXED & RE-MASTERED VERSION.

This piece merges Latin American rhythm with an Omani folk tune. The rhythm acts as a constant driving force throughout and the folk tune is developed in variations featuring different sections of the Orchestra. 
 
The high energy rhythmic start gives way to a melodic central section which features the upper strings with the melodic lines intertwined. Finally the latin rhythm returns and the piece concludes.

This is Sarastro's first Aria, 'O Isis und Osiris from the Mozart Opera 'The Magic Flute'. It is arranged here for Double Bass Choir (8 Parts).

Dialogue for Basses is a short two minute piece in which each player has equality in the melodic and rhythmic aspects of the music. The melodic line passes between each player frequently and in doing so creates a 'Dialogue' that we encounter in our everyday lives.

Introducing my new composition for Bass Quartet.

A Wee Nip, Slante math!! was inspired after I had a glass of my favourite Malt Whisky. The 'Wee Nip' is reference to that measure of Malt Whisky and  Slante math (pronounced slancha vah) is the Scottish Gaelic traditional toast to 'Good Health'. A lighthearted piece that celebrates good health and a famous drink. Enjoy!!!
