This song came from somewhere deep in me—out on the road, somewhere between too far gone and not far enough. "Leave These Faces Behind" is my way of putting years of movement, memory, and missed chances into a story. It’s about what it really feels like to keep going when you’ve already passed every exit that might’ve taken you home.

Although I’m not a trucker, I’ve driven many a mile—miles that left me with plenty of time to think, remember, and sometimes forget. I’ve seen all four seasons in a week. I’ve watched familiar faces fade in the rearview mirror while chasing something I couldn’t name. This life on the road—it isn’t always freedom. Sometimes it’s just distance. And over time, the lines on the highway started looking a lot like the timeline of my life: past, present, and whatever future’s left.

This isn’t a song about regret. It’s about owning where I’ve been, even if it means facing where I didn’t go. I wrote it for folks like me—people who keep rolling even when the wheels in their mind won’t stop spinning. If you’ve ever felt like that, I hope this song finds you.
