Este ano o Festival Contato precisou ser antecipado em função da pandemia COVID e da situação nacional cada vez mais grave. Começamos 01 de março e esperamos não durar muito, mas enquanto precisar, o que era um evento, agora mantém-se um espaço, um hospital de campanha para nossa sanidade mental.

Em "praça pública”: a internet. Tudo é construído com parcerias, trabalho voluntário, respeito ao próximo e doação. Com civilidade, sem ódio, sem negacionismo. Com uma abordagem positiva, que permita um respiro à nuvem tóxica que se formou nesses últimos tempos.O Contato começou em 2005, virou virtual em 2007 e teve várias edições, até 2019, no Dia Mundial de Luta Contra a Aids - 1o de dezembro. No ano passado optamos por mudar o foco da epidemia HIV-Aids para a atual pandemia, mais devastadora ainda que a aids.

O Projeto Contato reafirma a necessidade de mobilização social no enfrentamento da pandemia, e se propõe a ser um espaço de descanso, discussão e reflexão sobre o nosso papel nesse momento. Não abandonemos o humano que há em nós e nem aqueles que estão sendo tratados com total desumanidade, ao nosso lado, na nossa frente.

A luta que começou em 2005, com a Laços, uma ONG da Letícia, uma amiga de Goiânia que a aids levou (que era a própria ONG, sua casa, sua vida…), a luta de tanta gente querida que perdemos, e a luta diária de tantos outros brasileiros que precisam de médicos, de medicamentos, de oxigênio, de portas abertas, de um Brasil que enxergue as pessoas com suas diferenças e identidades únicas (não para dividi-las, mas para igualá-las), é a luta que precisamos abraçar. Um pequeno guarda-chuva, nessa tempestade, mas que se trouxer um pouco de alento e um respiro para enfrentá-la já está valendo. E também porque afeta todos, cidadãos e cidadãs que compartilhamos, além da humanidade, o pertencimento a esse país que chamamos Brasil. Pois assistir o que seus habitantes estão vivendo, sem indignar-se e buscar ajudar (e não atrapalhar como algumas “autoridades") é impossível. Para reclamar, xingar o governo e lamentar não faltam canais.

O Projeto Contato busca a irradiação de informações que estimulem o trabalho de prevenção, assistência social e o exercício da cidadania. Convidamos você para essa praça virtual, com música, imagens, ideias e ações construtivas!

Prado para Contato Virtual 2.1 — 'The Triangle'

Was ein Fest! - Ähm ich meine Demo. 

Ganz nach dem Motto "Keine Pflanze ist illegal" sind wir am Samstag den 15. Mai durch die Frankfurter Innenstadt gezogen. Lange habe ich mich auf diesen Tag gefreut und an einem Set gebastelt. Da die Playtime sehr begrenzt war, habe ich jeden Track gut ausgewählt und abgewägt. Schöner entspannter Downtempo mit einigen Knallern. Ich starte bei 85 km/h, beschleunige auf 100 und gehe am Ende wieder runter auf 85. 

Vielen Dank an alle Menschen, die dieses einzigartige Erlebnis in diesen schwierigen Zeiten möglich gemacht haben. Danke an das Shanti Kollektiv und die Hanfinitative. Vor allem an Mo Pauer und Ingrid.

""Jai Maa" is a lovely and simple phrase that calls to mind the creative forces in the universe – and more specifically, our acknowledgement and gratitude to them. Even more interesting, it calls to mind the feminine forces, which not only give birth to new things, but can also effect change in the old ones. ‘Ma’ is a word for ‘mother’ and in this context refers to the universal Goddess … powerful, protective, creative, effective. So, ‘jai ma’ could be translated as ‘great gratitude to the divine Mother. May her power be victorious over all obstacles.’”

Jai Maa always loved music of all kinds and cultures. It was only in his late teenage years in Highschool when music was more prominent in his life. He started to listen to all sorts of music when he went for a weekly journey to a very large library where he found things like the Orb, the Future Sound of London, Brian Eno etc. At that same time since Internet was just becoming more mainstream, he downloaded – at that same library - a free music program called Fasttracker, an 8 track ms-dos based platform to produce a tune, it fitted wich ease on 1 floppy disk. For a couple of years he learned how to use it … Finally when started to work, he and his elder brother went for a weekly trip to the big city to listen and buy vinyl, and a lot of it … deep- afro- and techhouse,funk, disco, techno, ambient and fusion and even beyond. Music didn’t have to have a genre label back then, if they liked it, they mixed it together, cross pollinating each other … after some years they struggled to maintain this, with a family life and also financially … Jai Maa kept on following music on the net. It was only till the beginning of 2017 he returned to music intensively, exploring all the new and fresh angles on electronic music. Learning how this digital turntablism is working his magic. He still loves all music, and therefore would like to continue blending all sorts of styles and influences with an open mind and maybe some sort of childish vulnerability…

Jai Maa’s other passion is reading books especially books concerning mysticism, religion, psychology and all things affiliated. Not claiming to grasp everything written, still he has the believe that we’re here to learn how grow more into loving each other, regardless... In the brief moments we have on this lovely planet it’s perhaps our duty to attend to an attitude of gratefulness and constant admiration of all the small wonders that enter our life on a daily bases… to try stay focused on our thoughts and intentions.
